The Bobcats are on a roll.  I just looked at the pickums, and this game is not on there.  Breathe easy Bobcat fans, you win this one lol.

Thank goodness.. Things have been a little tight and HD would of had trouble coming up with your payment this week. I believe it was a little cheaper to pay to stay off the pick'ems...

  2. I make comments on every single thread on this site where I feel the presence of delusion, false information, or when there is an implication/comment made about a coach that is anything other than positive.

You think I only "troll" HD threads, but you HD fans are the only ones that get your feelings hurt about everything I post.  Therefore I keep coming back because you guys are the most fun to mess with.

Has produced results against whom?..  West Hardin.  And maybe Sabine Pass.  It was the plays they chose to run...it was the competition.  I will bet every dollar I've got and ever made...When you guys play Lovelady, it won't matter what O the HD coaches choose to run.  You could play them 10 times and run a different offense every time...same result.  Lovelady is just an example.

Well actually SP would be an example of single set back with no production. SP whipped HD O all night. HD's D side won that one. Again if you saw the games you would understand. As far as the rest of the District games, Cent and LL are without question the clear favorite and by all accounts should win. however there still is an expectation they can be meet by HD's fan base. come on oldschool2 you know exactly what's being meant here.

  3. I think that if the coaches come on here and read suggestions on what they should do with their football program..they may do the opposite just for spite.  Or...I hope they do anyway.

Everyone I know that is or has coached have spent a lot of time preparing for games.  Right or wrong..they were the ones hired to make an effort to win ball games, and they probably don't need/want any help from spectators.  Not to mention they are juggling things that most people have no clue about.  Like what happened in practice that particular week, or in class, or if a certain kid got in trouble of any kind.  You do realize that the things I just mentioned play into a coach's practice plan / game plan each week.  Especially at small schools like this one.

Even if the spectator has coached peewee for 16 years and never misses an NFL game on tv...I'm sure the coaches want nothing to do with whatever "advice" is given.

I 'm pretty sure i started with it would depend on what their choice was. Then I gave an Opinion on how i feel each of those choices, in my opinion would lead to the games final outcome. I could really care less what an HD or any other School coach decides to do as far as a game plan from reading this site. If that's what's happening now a days then HS football is in trouble. I'm always a little confused by your comments or ramblings on this site. This is a discussion board open to the public,to discuss their thoughts. So from your own statement you would rather sit on the porch and watch the grass grow then to attend and HD game. If you were at the games you would have a clear understanding of this years HD team. In this same thread you based your prediction on who beat who and AS not being as bad as HD. I based my prediction on what O the HD coaches choose to run. From actually being at the games and seeing the kids. One style has produced no results. That is a fact plain and simple regardless of it offends the Coaching staff. The other style has shown some positive results. Again not my, but their choice tonight. Whichever choice they make, i stand by prediction for each.

  4. Really depends on what Offense HD coaches choose to run this week. They started in the right direction against WH, but didn't go full out with it. They were still very predictable and WH actually shut them out in the second half. With that being said, If they mix it up with both backs if the back field then it should be a competitive game with the slight advantage to AS. If they (HD Coaches) choose to default back to the same old junk then it will be a run-away for AS. Playing at home running the right O, HD could sneak in a win here.

  5.

And Gator25...the draw to Hardin or Liberty is probably the guarantee of getting to play on a jv team.  Which is where pretty much all of the HD kids need to be playing anyway.

I agree HD is suffering missing out at the JV level. My point was to Mosshill putting it out there like the others teams near by were playoff-studs. 2 or 3 respectable players from HD would not change the playoff records for any of the mentioned schools.

  6. I'm sure that your players that come on here and read this really appreciate your support.  Just a quick question...what would your reaction be if the Head coach said "our boys have a lot of heart and will fight to the end.  But.. I'm dreading the long ride home...especially after a loss."

    lol.

First, I never said they were my Boys. I can't go to the game to support my Grand Daughter in the band and just have an opinion on what i see each week.  Secondly, this is a HD vs WS thread so i could said going to enjoy the game but think WS comes away with the win. Would that have made it ok. If you want to know my Opinion on the Coach start HD Coaches thread and I'll post my opinion.

  7. Were they not very young last year and the year before? How many times do we get to hear "they are very young" ?

Are the same kids failing to advance grade placement? Or, is this a we are getting smashed, let's blame it on the youth of our program.

HD will continue to fail, while area schools around them are on the rise. I said back in 2009 that HD would close it's school by 2020. Maybe, I am wrong but I think it would be the best thing for the kids. They can chose to go to Liberty or Hardin/West Hardin.

Oh, one more thing. What would be the big draw to go to Liberty or Hardin. Its not like either of those programs have had or is having anymore success to jump up and brag about than HD.

Just stating the facts, but since HD ISD closed the Junior High in Raywood, there has been a steady decline in numbers from the Raywood area of kids attending HD. Seems most have already started attending Liberty. HD also used to get about have the kids coming out of Devers after Junior high. Since Devers has no High school those kids had a choice. That trend has changed as well. That leave the kids from Hull and Daisetta. These towns are full of people past the age of having children, but still young enough to live for quite some time. I agree with you that at some point there will be a change at HD. It may even be they do as Devers and only have grades K-6 or K-8. But HD has been young the last couple years. Very few Seniors last year, and only one this year.

  9. How bout you go apply for the coaching job, since you have all the answers.  I know some people on HD school board maybe they can get you and gator hired.  Maybe y'all can get some more horses in the stable.

I thought You were on the Board. I don't believe anyone is talking about new Horses. The whole discussion is about are the horses they have being utilized correctly. Everyone in SETX knew what HD was going to be this year. I don't believe anyone is shocked. Success for this year wasn't going to be measured in wins. It's virtually the same 11 guys on Defense as Offense. The D has greatly improved over last year. it leads you to believe they would have some success on Offense. I'm certainly not trying to rally the Community to run any of the Coaches out of town. Will HD win another game the rest of the season probably not. Here the thing thing. These will be the same young men or Horses as you referred them as next year. and by all accounts will still have the numbers to stay in the current Division. If the system is not having any success now, why would it next year?  We're not the Cowboys with Coach Landry ridding the System to the end. HD has to use the Boys they have. I believe the Coaching staff has brought some things in that HD needed and was lacking. As AD In my opinion Coach Hodges should say hey Guys this by no means is working lets try something else. If that doesn't work at least no one can Question that He as AD tried everything. That's the sign of a Great Coach, and i have no doubt even with a 1 and 9 record he will have the respect of the Community and the Players.

  10. At what point do we say our offensive system is due for a change? We are averaging 6 points a game vs teams that are giving up tons of points. Colmesneil defense was giving up over 50 points a game. Would love to see HD go back to the slot-t with this personnel. Our kids know the slot-t already from the Finney days and last season. It would run the clock and keep the games closer... Upcoming schedule is twice as tough...  And enough with running bootleg and wildcat, gotta set them up for success. Several times a game, HD has WR's open, if they only allowed QB to do a 3 step drop from pocket, he has the arm and smarts. Bootleg is not developing fast enough, you see faster crisper bootlegs ran on Freshmen teams... I have seen the line give the QB plenty of time for a 3 step drop. Can't hold ball for 5 seconds. Brandon Maughan would be a bull from the FB position in the slot-t. Dalton Robinett on a counter! Shawn Taylor and Dylan Varnon could prosper in the slot-t, two good athletes. Right now HD has no identity on offense and no chemistry. Season only getting tougher... Keep fighting young Bobcats, yall Freshman and Sophomores will reep the benefits later.

The Offense has been very stagnant. Even though HD is way down this year, there where four games on this years schedule that HD should have won or at least been very competitive and close games. I understand it's hard for a coaching staff to swallow their pride and say this ain't working. Offensive  game plan is very predictable and the opposing Defense only has to key on one player.  Saw the same thing again this week, formation look different but still had the lone back taking the handoff to the right side.  You are correct about the bootleg. The line can't hold that long and Fregia is taking to many big blind hits. This young man is as tough as they come, but bigger and better teams are ahead. You have to have more than two plays, with this group of guys your Offense has to be a little more deceiving and the Slot T would  help accomplish that. Now do I think the  Slot T is the best Offense, not by long shot. However it may be the best for this group.

  11. I can assure you that whether or not you believe I am a cancer to this site has zero bearing on my overall attitude towards anything.  I was brought up to be straight forward and speak my mind.  Most people don't like it..but rest assured, I am the only one on here saying what some people are thinking.  Maybe they're nicer than me..maybe I'm a little rude...I guarantee that I don't care.

You got your feelings hurt that I don't want to go watch the game?  That's fine.  My opinion is that between HD, Colmesneil, and Sabine Pass...that's about as close to a junior high game as you can get.  So no...I'd rather spend my Friday doing something else.  Feel free to use my "rather watch grass grow" in case you aren't intelligent to come up with your own analogy.

You thinking that I don't know the difference between opinion and fact tells me that you have a problem with reading comprehension and/or figuring out context clues.  I'll give credit to the place you were educated.  Hull Daisetta High School right?

Have fun Friday night...I hope it's an injury free game.

    Yawn....

  12. I honestly don't know why you would expect something like that..  I wouldn't go to this toothless, legless dog fight for a 100 dollar bill.  Personally I'd rather sit on my porch and watch the grass grow.

And my life will go on it's pre-determined path whether these little tiny schools were in existence or not.  I'm still going to have grandkids to spoil, specks and flounder to catch, and plenty of time to kill in a deer stand.  Not to mention the occasional Texas Tech football game to get mad at.

    But thanks for your concern.

This will be the last win of the season for HD...if they win.  They won't beat WH.  Even tho WH is terrible.

WH wasn't my 3rd pick. It was actually Burkeville and that went the other way. I did say WH and HD would play it out for last place and it could go either way. But was leaning toward WH. So you know, my opinion is you are a cancer to this site and everyone would rather you site on the porch and just watch grass grow. It's just my opinion, but as you say it has to be true since it's an opinion.
