What many here don't understand is If Lamar expands the stadium to 30,000, then play a BIG XII school, 30,000 fans will show up. 40,000 stadium, then 40,000 fans. 50,000, then 50,000. I doubt the rule holds much higher than 50,000 for an area of this size.However the mentality is "16,000 is more than enough. Lamar is a small school in a small town, just like SFA and SHSU."

[/quote] You should get out more UNLV.  Lamar is winding down a $125 million capital campaign.  I guess in your mind since it was not a billion dollar campaign it's a failure.  Lamar spent almost $30 million on the stadium and athletic complex just a couple of years ago.  I bet Dr. Simmons is hoarding the other $70 million, that's why Lamar didn't expand the stadium to 50K.  Are you going to attend the public meeting about the Lamar master plan that includes development along Rolfe Christopher Drive and the other plans to make the university into a destination campus? And why do you NEVER answer the question that everyone keeps asking?  I think because you cannot put your money where your mouth is.  Do you actually think the people who post here are millionaires that refuse to give to Lamar?  Why don't you step from behind that keyboard and convince some rich people to donate to Lamar instead of complaining to us? Second, I never said for anyone here to give to Lamar. My issue is the half filled glass mentality. If the fans believe this is the best Lamar could ever achieve, the administrators will not feel pressure to do better. Fans are happy, why do more. I am sure we would still have Roc if fans hadn't said enough. Lamar will forever play Langston, if fans are happy playing Langston. So for, it is heresy to not like playing Langston.

Here we go with the can't do attitudes. An area of 400,000 can't put 40,000 in a stadium. Lubbock MSA is about 290,000 and they put 80,000 in. The really sad part is Lamar leaders is doing nothing more than being content with playing Langston and our 15,000 seat stadium.

Lamar goes FBS, bring in Texas Tech or Baylor, poof...40k

The problem is not that we lost, but how we lost. The defense is making progress over the 3 years. Good job Woodard. The offense is still as bad as year 1.

Lamar Defense gets a B. The Defense put up a fight although they missed a lot of easy tackles. Offense gets a F- QB gets a F. OC gets a F special teams gets an F. Wasted trip.

Lamar play calling stinks.

Lamar needs to take advantage of this great field position.

I would sit him for the game. He just gave Hawaii a unearned TD.
