  1. Deweyville by a bunch.
  2. EC has a lot of returning players as well. Guys named Thomas (District MVP), Trammell (District Def. MVP), Trevino, McDonald, Barrow, Devillier, White, Joseph. These guys have put the hurt on the Coogs the last 3 years. Don't see anything changing their Sr. year.
  3. Buna by 7 ????? LMAO Buna couldn't beat EC on their home field. What makes you think the coogs can beat the Bucs at EC?
  4. EC - 35 Kountze - 14 It appears EC had a pretty good homecoming.
  5. Dem boys from EC is ready. They know they've got a big 'ol bullseye on their back and they've been working hard all summer to defend their title.
  6. Hope your gut is right on this one but my wallet says Newton.
  7. Or intentionally kicking short. Don't give the opposing team the ball at midfield and make your defense play on a short field. Field position wins football games.
  8. Whichever team scores the most points.
  9. Your coach must of been a wimp! (J/K) When I was in school the first 4 days were shorts & helmets followed by 6 days in full pads. When the season started we practiced in pads Mon.-Wed. shorts & helmets on Thursday. Saturday AM we watched game film, lifted weights & ran sprints to loosen up from the previous night's game. If we played crappy on Friday night, our coach was not above making us practice after the fans had left the stadium. Things have changed in the last 29 years!
  10. The more serious players are running now and are probably in pretty good shape already. The serious players have been working out all summer. Weights, agility drills & sprints.
  11. "Look Boss, da plane, da plane!" Enjoy your stay on Fantasy Island. ;D
  12. Tramaine will play. Any idea to the contrary is nothing more than wishful thinking by other teams in 24AA.
  13. EC will win at home.
  14. It's about kids making bad decisions .... a problem not unique to BC.
  15. I know coaches try to educate the players about the dangerous side affects but I think it goes in one ear & out the other. I can remember being 17 and thinking I was indestructible.
  16. It is a nation wide problem that used to be confined to the NCAA & Pro levels. Sad to see that it has finally filtered down to the HS ranks. Despite the dangers of using roids, it's pretty easy to understand how a HS athlete could be tempted to use steroids to get that extra edge.
  17. Ya'll are doing a great job with the previews! Keep up the good work!
  18. EC's Raymond has some big shoes to fill. He showed flashes of his potential last season in a backup role to Leday & Evans.
  19. 36-7 Nuff said.
  20. West Hardin did a pretty fair job of spanking your butt last year. ;D You might want to be careful about making bold predictions for the upcoming season.
  21. EC's Vance McDonald will be a TE to watch. Great size, speed and athleticism. Does a pretty good job catching the ball too.
  22. Those kids in Newton grow up with the expectation of playing deep into the playoffs. Having the belief you're gonna win can be the edge needed in those games in which athletic talent of both teams is fairly equal.
