Buna can do it but they've got a tough row to hoe with DV & Warren left to play. I think Buna can beat either team but it will be difficult to beat both.

East Chambers with Thomas, Guillory, Q. Joseph, MacDonald, Leday & Evans.

Coach is Tony Valastro and this is his second season at EC. Coach V. is good but he's got a great staff of assistant coaches including Todd East, Chris Fontenot, Ted Williams, David Penny, Tommy Leday, Coach Otto, Coach Todd & Coach Andrews (hope I didn't leave any out!) These coaches set high expectations for the kids and find a way to get them ready to play each week.

DV will be hard to beat at home but Buna has the folks to pull it off. Buna played good defensively against EC until we wore them down in the fourth quarter. Buna needs to run the football and keep the DV offense on the bench to win the game. I am still looking for an answer why the Anahuac - DV score was so close.

EC will have Sophomores Donte Raymond and Daniel Renner returning next year. IMO our biggest challenge will be replacing the Seniors on the OL. Renner and Trevino will be the only returning starters from this unit. Hope we have some kids on the JV that will be able to help.

Well, you know the old saying "On any Friday night" or "the sun don't shine on the same dog's arse every day" so yes, it's possible for Kountze to pull of the upset but I wouldn't count on it. If the Bucs show up with their heads screwed on straight, the clock will run the second half and second team personell will be getting lots of PT.

Tramain Thomas is a special athlete and a darn good kid. Doesn't get the big head and is respected by his teammates.

Paul Trammell - East Chambers linebacker. Paul had 15 tackles (1 for loss) recovered a fumble and had a QB pressure in EC's 35-13 win at Buna. Quentin Joseph of EC had 2 interceptions.

EC has talented kids on both sides of the ball and they play with a lot of heart. We'll lose some good Seniors for next season but we have a SOLID corps of Juniors including Tramain Thomas, Vance McDonald, Quentin Joseph, Kendall Barrow and Carlos Trevino from the offense. LB's Paul Trammell & Justin Devillier, DL Bryan Vigers, Scott Penny & Isaiah White with Thomas, Barrow and MacDonald in the secondary. EC has fought the injury bug all season and faced the tragic death of a classmate last week to remain undefeated to date. I compliment our coaching staff for keeping the kids focused through all the diversity.

Buna has their back against the wall. They'll beat DV & Warren to make the playoffs.

I think Buna will take DV and Warren.

I've always liked the PA announcer at Buna. Does a good job and acts professionally. He did a great job last night. Wish Buna would do something about that !@#$ light pole on the visitors side. :x

Anahuacs good back is playing again. He played in the EC game. I really expected DV to win by more in this game.

All in good fun. Buna played well the first quarter but EC had too much speed for the Cougars. Also, EC had several first team defensive players on the bench during Buna's first TD drive. Good luck the rest of the way.

East Chambers Offense ..... take your pick! Offensive Player of the Game was shared by Tramain Thomas who threw for 200 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 2 touchdowns, Eugene Leday who rushed for 201 yards and 3 touchdowns on 13 carries, and Brock Williams who had 3 receptions for 160 yards and 1 touchdown. Defense - Paul Trammell had 12 tackles (3 for a loss) and a QB sack against Anahuac. Brock Williams, Tramaine Thomas, Pete Evans & Preston Guillory had solid games on the defensive side as well.

This could be an interesting game but I think EC is more than ready for the challenge. We've played some tough opponents this year and managed to win. Thomas & Leday are great athletes and understandably get the headlines but we have a good offensive line and some kids on defense that like to hit. EC - 28 Buna - 17

Anahuac will be on the short end of a blowout for the second week in a row.

The officials allowed the clock to run during most of the 3rd and all of the 4th quarter or the score would have been worse. Anahuac got their only score in the last 2 minutes of the 4th when our second team offense fumbled and Anahuac returned the fumble for a score.

This week's Defensive Player of the Week for East Chambers was linebacker P. Trammell. Paul had 14 tackles, 1 recovered fumble and 1 QB pressure in EC's victory over Warren.

East Chambers Varsity is loaded with Jrs. but our JV has struggled this year.

Warren played good defense against EC last night in a 27 - 12 loss but I'll go with DV since they have two weeks to prepare for the game.
