East Chambers has a good coaching staff. The Assistant Coaches have worked for 3 different bosses in the last 4 years and made the playoffs every year. You don't do that unless you have good assistant coaches on your staff.

Am hearing EC has two Juniors up for WRS award.... Tremaine Thomas (Off) and Paul Trammel (Def). Tramaine Thomas is a tremendous athlete on both the football field and basketball court. Paul Trammell makes the most of his limited athletic skills by playing with a big heart. He had a solid season despite playing all year with a pulled hamstring and later a deep thigh bruise both of which limited his mobility. Good luck to both young men. Having 2 finalists for the WRS award is a great honor for the entire Buccaneer football team!

Donte Raymond is a Soph. now. That guy just grows and gets stronger and faster every day. Gonna be a "hoss"! He'll have some big shoes to fill next season!

Warren jumped out to a 12-0 lead before the Lady Bucs decided to play some ball. Lady Bucs dominated once they got started.

It's tough drawing the #1 team in the second round but hopefully the Bucs will play their best game of the season and pull out the win. Bucs need to get over the mental block of playing Mart and take the game one play at a time. C'mon Bucs, you CAN do it!

EC, DV & Buna will have a lot of starters returning next year. DV loses Justin Williams which is going to hurt them. Anahuac should be improved next year. Don't know who Warren, Kountze or Hardin will return for next year.

Anything can happen on a Friday night but EC will have to play their best game of the season to upset Mart. EC can't allow the game to be played on their side of the 50.

Very important. If the coaches aren't on the same page with each other you can't expect the kids to be either.

Only the district champion should advance to the playoffs. I recognize that some good teams will be left out but that's the breaks. When I was a Jr. in HS we lost one district game to a team that made it to the quarterfinal round. They beat us 7-0 on their home field and we were the better overall team. Hurt like hell but that's just life. Under todays playoff system, being district champ doesn't mean as much as it used to.

Mosely should be player of the week but Donte Raymond from East Chambers should receive a helmet sticker for his performance against Hardin. 9 carries for 119 yards and 4 TD's. Pretty good considering the game lasted all of 2 quarters!

EC should have a couple starters back that missed the last 2 or 3 games due to injury. I don't know enough about Hemphill to predict a score but hopefully EC wins.
