PAM team showed up then the Porter Coaching arrived at the half. Tell your friend I said hi

Hard way to lose out.. believe me I have seen that show more than I care to with Longview.

Watching some of BH games left me scratching my head. Very talented but lack of focus during big portions of the game(second half) and coaching decisions was this teams undoing.

Hope you enjoy your bourbon. Think I might have a drink later on today… congrats on the season.

Not real sure what your point is.  BH had 440yds of offense with backups in the 4th quarter.  After scoring 40 unanswered points.  If anything, you’re proving my point.

Just that you cannot take final scores and make a determination as you did. Yes BH can be competitive and even win the game but not because the scores from other teams playing a common opponent that each team has defeated.

Heck. Longview was up 49-0 at the half against Porter, a team you lost too just a week earlier.

The way I see it, BH dropped more points on McKinney than Longview and Forney.  WITH a fumble on the 3yd line and a pick.  We also held them to 14 (I ain’t counting the last minute TD with 2nd string in).  Now I don’t think ANYBODY  would pick Richland over either one of those teams.  BH can play with anybody in 5AD1 when they play their game.  NOW, what team will show up?  The Porter team or the PAM team?

You are using flawed theory in your comment above. I would encourage you to go and look at the box scores of the games. I can speak on the Longview game because I was there, Longview dominated the game with 400 yards in offense. It was 36- 7 in the 4Q with the back ups in. Not to mention the game was in McKinney.but if it makes you feel better.

Now, I think BH will be competitive with Richland and it should be a good game.

I lean more towards the Longview game of last season. Not to say Forney is Longview , but they are disciplined and physical. If PAM doesn’t come read to play 4 quarters it could get away from them.

Good Luck!

I know MBGarrity is taking a couple of days off the board to reset, but I wasn’t to far off with this comment.

No idea on what Lancaster will bring, but I hear they are a better team than their record shows. I think the LP defense will give them problems and since they haven’t faced an offense like LP their DC had his hand full. I like LP by 14

Apparently you don't get out much. The did play Longview this year who is as run dominate a team as they come. Not to mention a heavy run team in Lufkin and Forney.

I do not think LP will throw anything that they have not seen. LP will have to throw the ball to mix it up.

Offensively, Lancaster is talented and have playmakers. Lancaster is an athletic team and have a few D1 commits. They have played some tough team non district ie Guyer and SOC.

Should be a good game.

This could go the way of our McNorth game last season or the Longview game last season. Hopefully we can pull off a dub. 🤷🏾‍♂️

BH payed terrible in a monsoon rain vs. PAM last year. Then, BH played great against Forney in the first round in a cold rain a few weeks later. The weather is not an excuse. BH has to deal with the weather, whatever it is. In any case, it seems the Friday forcast is for rain AM, then clearing up through the day.

My post was around more on what each team is trying to do offensively. My watch of BH is that they are more pass oriented vs. McNorth wanting to run the ball. Agree both will have to play in the elements, but some teams are better suited for adverse elements than others.... so goes the saying "pack your running game and defense"

heart wants PAM... gut and mind says, get the basketballs ready. idc who says what. play calling has been atrocious the past 2 games. players out of position. players getting more and more bone headed penalties as the weeks go on. i hope i'm wrong but i see a blow out...42-21 Forney.

Unfortunately, I do not think you are too far off on your prediction. Forney is a disciple team that is run first but can hurt you in the air.  They have some athletes but play solid defense…especially at home.

What you’re failing to realize sir.  This is a playoff game.  That regular season sheeeesssney stays there.  There’s no game next week for the loser.  That hits a whole lot of other buttons in a competitor.  Believe me when I say this…this group ain’t gonna fold.  You be the messenger and tell LV to come with it.  I have faith in the Titan nation.  It’ll all be left on the field Friday.

My question to you is.. Did LV come with it?  I can tell you that PA did leave it all on the field…..just it was all spent in the first quarter. Their tents were folded and packed away just after halftime…

Shout out to Cougar Cal..for the on point post in this thread.

btw. PAM have great athletes, but the coach needs to work on their sportsmanship.

Big difference between SE Texas football and NE Texas football.  If Tatum plays for four quarters, then EC does not stand a chance.  But if Tatum decides to not play the second half like they did against Yoe, then it could be a close game.
Just what I was thinking.... totally different NE to SE.. NE being better... you guys down in SE Texas need to get out a little more.....

for a 2A team... Tatum has tremendous athletes.....and a good scheme to boot.....Not to mention they have been there and done that in the last several years...

wow :o

The team that they were playing blows and Marshall will be ready. I am telling you bro Marshall has some jets and can run with anyone in their bracket.
I agree and said the same when looking at thier bracket.

Corsicana did not know what to do with that speed either. By the time the backs got past the line of scrimmage, both Hiagwood and Anderson were shifting from 3 to 4th and 5 to 7 yards down field.

The metroplex teams are not use to the physical play nor the speed that East Texas' teams bring to the field.

I watched them when they came to Lobo Stadium this year. I was impressed with the heart they showed.

Running backs are gooood!!!

Yea had a what five turnovers to start the second half? Longview is the only team all year that slowed them down. When Anderson and JC hit the corners Lobos were there. I really hope that you guys win the big title this year. Good luck.
The Lobos jumped out 21 - 0 and let the foot off the pedal and let the Mavs back in. But they got back to it in the second half.
The state title, you and me both. The program has been consisitnly good but the title has eluded us. Thanks and I will be at Rose on Friday pulling for the Mavs. Chance of rain though. Good Luck
