Monte Barrow, one of the fact-finders who voted on this and the head coach of PN-G's arch rival, explicitly stated that the infraction had no effect on the outcome of a close game that came down to the final possession. If the facts were such that the coach taking the pictures was using them in a way that affected the outcome of the game, he wouldn't be saying that.

My guess is that this coach was taking the pictures for use after the game during weekly practices. If true, that's a violation, to be sure, but not one that affected the outcome of the Crosby game. Thus, the punishment doesn't fit the crime.

So, if the coach in the booth recorded previous plays wouldn’t it be easier play calling by going back and looking at defensive formations for a current offensive play? Why would you do that to those boys who clearly had what it took to score.

Definitely agree obstruction should have been called against LSU and not calling obstruction against A&M was the right call. One thing is for sure and that is Fernandez is passionate. She just argued the wrong call! 

Thoughts on Lisa Fernandez 2 game suspension that will carry over into next year. She was thrown out for making contact with the umpire after getting ejected. She wanted an obstruction call on the A&M catcher.

It usually takes an opposing coach to bring it to the umps attention before they will really start paying close attention to it. You will notice a lot of slappers try and erase the chalk at the front of the box. I noticed a couple of the Baylor girls step out in front of the plate trying to get to the outside pitch. One was called out!

That is correct. The hitter is out if one or both feet are out of the box at contact. Only if Blue sees it and calls it!!

This past Wednesday was our softball banquet. Coach was recognizing the team. She failed to recognize one of the seniors, with the other seniors. Now mind you, this young lady is playing college ball next year, so she is no slouch. The young lady was devestated. It is things like this and numerous others that have finally come to a boiling point. There are young ladies on this team that have quit to play other sports, just to not be around the head coach. I know some will say, " sour grapes!" This rant is not that. I have coached and been around travel ball fort close to 20 years. There is a right way and a wrong way to coach. KPark is doing it the wrong way! Hopefully the administration will have the backbone to do something about it. If you read all of this, thanks! I tend to get a little long winded! Good luck to the remaining teams in the playoffs!

Sorry to hear this for those young ladies. Great coaches with awesome facilities are always looking to improve their roster with those type student athletes and they can stay in the same district!
