  1. I think ozensfinest is Mightymouth in disguise , such outright jealousy and hate. How bout you cruise on over to the east Texas boards and post the same about Gilmer and Navasota and  Celina  or any other team that has a great history of going deep every year. Guess what they have all lost to better teams. I wish BISD had some schools that could give us a game, keep us from going to Houstom to find teams that can help us get better. And you have to nerve to bring up Foster,  See if you can get any BISD team to schedule them,

WOS will go to NRG to play in a SC game, win or lose the game - These kids are Winners .

  2. Great win for the Mustangs, Played a heck of a game, Coach T and staff had them ready to play. Yeah we did get cheated out of a touchdown on the scrum play. If the obvious holding and pass interference calls were made this game would not have been close.  And yes there were some nocalls on us also. All of that said Hats of  to a very good Cuero team,  they came to play.

I think we will match up very well with Celina, they do have some size. But nothing new to us. And as far as wearing us out, I have yet to see a Mustang Team wear out.

This being an SC game, I expect SC caliber ref crew.

    Lets go meet em.

  3. Was that the team that had a beast at running back and the Stangs shut him down?Been to long can't remember his name.

They had the state rushing leader , I remember he was #33 , WOS middle LB Jeff Knox was also #33, they met up close on the first play. Jeff slobber knocked him if I remember right. he had a bad afternoon.  The next week we got the new rushing leader Randy Simmons from McKinney . he was a really sore looser.

  4. There you go again.Old gloom and doom Skip lol.Wasn't the defense that lost that game,We held a team that was scoring 60 points a game to 35.Touchdown called back on a bad call and to many miscues by the offense.

And just how close would that game have been last night without a great defense? Old saying...I think not.

Defensive front and Linebacker corps did a super job last night keeping Bellville bottled  up . With the O sputtering and with turnovers they kept us in the game. But you gotta have it all to get to the big dance and win it.

  5. Thanks for the breakdown KJ dad , always enjoy your analysis. Spot on. I look for Bellville to do what got them there, but I believe they are well aware of how many Slot/Wing T teams we see, and control . They will try some new wrinkles, razzle dazzle which usually does not fool the chain gang. We play good solid defense and keep them in front of the Safety's, gonna be a long night for the Brahma's .

Focus, Focus , Focus on the task at hand.

  6. I'm sorry but why are Crosby folk even posting on this thread?  This game has nothing to do with you.  WOS just got their 92nd loss and remains with 357 wins.  Do you want to know when Crosby got their 357th win playing UIL football since starting in 1923?  2007.  That's 84 years it took you to do that.  Do you want to know when Crosby got their 92nd loss? 1945

Get back to me when you matter and stop trolling.  Everyone expected this game to be a loss.  WOS got the target off their backs and shouldn't face any team close to this from this point forward.  WOS just went 4-1 against three teams one classification above them and two teams two classifications above them in pre-district.  When's the last time Crosby played a team in a larger classification? 2007 would be the answer.  WOS on the other hand has played 27 opponents in a larger classification since 2007 and has a 20-7 record against them.

Well said Goblin, drops the mic and walks off the stage.

We have never been shy at lining up with much larger schools and teams. Sure we have lost some of those games . And it feels bad , but we learn from every contest. Not many teams in the state play that kind of schedule.

  7. If it makes you feel better go ahead and think that.

`I don't know what game you were watching, but Gilmer got shutdown the 1st half. They should feel very lucky WOS played the worst second half they have all year. Can't turn the ball over or drop passes when your playing a good team, and Gilmer is a very good team. WOS has one less turnover and Gilmer losses one of their fumbles, different outcome. WOS wins.

If , If's and but's were candy and nuts , it would be Christmas all year long. Congrats to both teams . The game was as close as the score , that's why they keep it.

  8. Gilmer looks very good. Will and DT and the rest of the DB's will bottle up that long ball stuff. Would like to have seen how they would do against a Lamarque or Lagrange. Celina looked very soft. If WOS comes out fired up like they did against Lamarque , look out Gilmer it will be a tough afternoon.  This should be a very good football game.

  9. Not so sure we would have been here with Cole or Rutledge, Jack is a winner , he has prepared since flag football to be a WOS QB. I have to give a ton of props to the O-Line. They gave Jack great protection last night. he will pick you apart with that kind of time and the reciever corp we have.
  10. I believe there were two back to back. Simmons sounds familiar for Mckinney. Who was the semi-final opponent that year? Tivy maybe?

Gas or griff will know this, where are they at?

Wow you guys are bringing back some memories, Back to back weeks of facing new state rushing record holders..  Brad Grant of New Braunfels was #33 , I remember that because we had a linebacker #33 Jeff Knox, they said hello on the first play from scrimage. Knox won that battle most of the afternoon at Tully stadium. Randy Simmons of McKinney.was a beast as WO-S 89 posted. He was mouthing to the papers after the game that they really won the game.

"Lets Go Get'Em" Good Luck to my stangs, pray for a good clean football game and some decent refs, ( Ref's last week did a good job for the most part, there were a few holding flags I would have thrown ).
