I’m no expert, but we could have used the MOAB (daisy cutter) to hit the entrances and still do massive damage….like the caves where we thought Bin Laden may have been hiding. This would have set them back for years, but we used higher tech bombs that could burrow deep and then exploding. People who deny that these bombs were effective are simply wanting it to be so.

Mentioned in another thread how Mossad was great at what they do in their sphere of the world. But, the U.S. is global. When people say ‘they’ control the airspace over such and such, the U.S. controls the satellites. Not much goes on that we can’t see ahead of time anywhere/any time.
That’s part of the reason the Chinese are reportedly trying to develop a ‘satellite killer.’ If you haven’t heard of it, do a search for <China/Russia developing satellite killer>.
Trump created the Space Force for a reason. People laughed. But, it’s no joke.
By the way, 7th gen aircraft are already in test phase. Rumors have it that AI is being integrated. Makes me think of the movie Stealth.

That is a tough one for me. This is a tragedy on both sides. Two kids lost their life,. One parent has to deal with never being able to see their son again. The other has to deal with seeing their Son probably spend the rest of his life in jail, or a significant portion of it in jail. Then also deal with the self guilt (admitted or not) that they raised a murderer.
I can't begin to imagine the pain in either case.

If you didn't watch the news briefing this morning, a lot of information was shared. Here are the cliff notes.....
1. The leak about the bombing being unsuccessful was a low confidence report and was wrong.
2. A team of researchers have been studying and watching via satellite the construction of the Fordow since 2009, along with intelligence on the ground. They determined that they did not have a weapon that could penetrate it.
3. A team of scientist (PHD's) designed the Bunker buster bombs. At one time it was stated that team was using the majority of the "super computers" making the bomb. They were sent in a particular order all timed differently and each bomb had a specific job to do.
4. The mission was a huge success and Iran's nuclear program is toast.........

Absolutely - 99% of all delivery vehicles use diesel.
It needs to go back to the days when diesel was $1.00 or more cheaper than unleaded. I bought my first 3/4 diesel truck when it was that way.

Diesel prices in Mineola, TX today are at a low of $2.99 & high of $3.09. You’re being robbed. Maybe you’d be more successful if you didn’t overpay for fuel?

What I have found is Trump's superpower is his unpredictability and his directness. You never know how he is going to react and you never know what he is going to say.....but you never have to guess about his opinion on anything, he has no issue telling you.
Also, have you noticed the difference between 1st term NATO summit meeting and 2nd term. Everyone, except Spain has agreed to increase their NATO contributions to 5%. In 2016 they were all mad thinking it was ridiculous, today they are tripping over themselves to get a picture with him......

Releasing video goes by;
1. State law on allowing, requiring or restricting release in an open records act. People sometimes believe that open records or Freedom of Information type laws are universal on being mandatory to release everything. That is not correct. Some things have to be released, some might be optional and other records are restricted and can’t be released.
2. Department policy.
It is sometimes a legal issue depending on state law and then it is a separate political issue.

I think most are realizing that demonizing Trump and unfairly going after him backfired and handed him 2024 by such a degree he won the popular vote.....lol
If they keep it up, JD Vance will when with the same force.

The average gas price in the US has fluctuated significantly over the past two years. In 2022, prices reached a high, averaging $4.90 per gallon, but then decreased to $3.18 per gallon in 2023. In 2024, prices continued to fall, with an average of $3.22 per gallon in May. Texas prices today are averaging $2.85
Grocery prices have increased significantly over the past two years, with the rate of increase slowing down in 2024. In 2022, food prices saw the largest annual increase in 40 years, but price growth has been moderating since then. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up indicates that while prices are still rising, the rate of increase is closer to historical averages.
Dollar Tree raised its prices to $1.25 in 2021. Following that, the company began testing and implementing prices above $1.25, including $1.50, at some locations as early as March 2024.
I think it is WAY better than under Biden. Biden had an all time gas price record of $5.016 per gallon on June 14th, 2022. I did a quick search of our forum and did not find a post of you complaining about gas prices. Biden also hold a 40 year record on grocery prices in 2022........So, comparing to the previous 4 years, I'd say things are pretty good......

I will throw my thoughts here just because…
I honestly think Trump—for all his faults—is not a warmonger & doesn't want military conflict. In this, I think he’s somewhat similar to my old CIC (R. Reagan).
If he can get a reset with Iran, now is the time, and he’s the person in the moment. He has the benefit of not needing oil from the Middle East as the U.S. currently produces over 2X what the next largest producing country does (Saudi Arabia), and almost as much as the rest of the world’s producers combined. The U.S. is also the largest producer of natural gas. We aren’t at the whims of oil prices due to ME conflicts like we used to be.
I believe I also recently read where the U.S. still has the largest strategic stockpile of oil in the world (somewhere around 265MM barrels) as a buffer.
The people of Iran need to make a change if they choose. Otherwise, it’ll be the same spiral. Good news is, the other ME countries are more supportive than in the past.
This could actually work.

Lyondell Basell Houston has been basically shut down for almost a decade. They’ve had major expansions at newer polymer/petrochem facilities in La Porte & Chocolate Bayou. This facility was only kept running for as long as it was for feedstock for their primary businesses.
They tried to sell for years. But, no one saw feasibility in trying to retrofit/modernize. Plus, the regulations imposed by Harris County & the Feds made refinery operations almost unbearable. Technically, the facility was located in Houston. The progessives in charge locally made their operation a living hell. Very similar to California.
This had absolutely nothing to do with tariffs & shows the author’s ignorance of the subject.
