We could not stop the run. We capitalized on turnovers and mistakes to keep the game close. With I think 6 seconds left in the tied game, we kicked and made a field goal to win it, but HD called a time out. We missed the second try........ OT starts on the 25........we scored, missed 2 pt conversion.....they got the ball on the 25........and as I stated, we could not stop the run.........

I never count anyone out.....lol Evadale really impressed me against the size and speed of Hemphill. If they remain disciplined, wrap up, and adjust when needed, I say they win this game by 2 scores.

Hats off to Evadale for pulling out the win. The more disciplined team won this game . Hemphill had a lot of talent, speed, and size. One of their sophomores weighed 314 pounds and a couple of their running back were hed to tackle......like they were coated with butter. Holding penalties cost them this game .

Poor coaching in Hemphill.....and bad players at least that is what I read into it.....if that is not what you meant, my apologies for misunderstanding

A little harsh.... I feel Evadale has a good coaching staff and will pull the win. We also have lots of speed and several players with good hands......We can run and pass......looking very good this year

Guys, My kid went from flag to senior in the STJFL. I understand the trash talk, I also understand we (parents and some coaches) have a bad reputation for getting out of hand in these forums. Please keep on topic, and if you want to address other topics, either private message or start a topic of what you want to talk about. You may want to review the rules before you post. I would hate to see the youth topics taken away. I have very good memories of this time in my Son's life.........Remember, they grow up very fast and you will cherish the memories for a lifetime!
