  Would you want members of the KKK on a jury judging a black person? I don't feel that would be fair.  I know I wouldn't want the Black Panthers judging me for anything.....   And he did not strike her for her race.....he struck her for affiliation with a pro-race group....   Thoughts? 

    He actually said White activist group OR white Supremacist group.   It appears to me he was trying to take race favoritism out of the equation, and I see nothing wrong with that.

He claimed he would do the same for either race.....   This is one reason hatred on both sides continues.....Two people cannot have different views and get along.......       A Central Texas prosecutor has been fired for comments he made in dismissing a prospective juror who was a member of the NAACP, comparing the juror's membership to white supremacy.   Travis County prosecutor Steve Brand made the comments last month during jury selection for a robbery trial. Transcripts show he rejected the juror because she was an "activist" and had posted on her Facebook page a link to "The Negro Motorist Green Book," a guide to safe travel for African-Americans in the Jim Crow era.   The Austin American-Statesman reports ([Hidden Content] ) Brand said he would take the same approach with a white juror because "we wouldn't want a white activist or a white supremacist." Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg says the comments were racially insensitive.   Brand's lawyer, Tom Nesbitt, described Lehmberg's punishment as "bizarre."         [Hidden Content]

  Great question.......and only BISD knows.......and if you have not heard, there integrity is being questioned.....   The JUDGE even asked that very same question.   But at least we have it on record that Dove thinks all this mess is over policy violations.... :)

  So let me get this straight (and on record)   After Calvin Walker (plea deal, but causing the district a 2.something loss), after two employee's plead guilty to around 4 million dollars in theft......you think the rest of the investigation will be pilferage and policy violations??   By the way, I have never heard of an FBI investigation for policy violations.....

  Like I said, just what I was told.   For the price? I'm not sure what you are talking about....the information was free......and I don't pay school taxes to Beaumont to see them get stolen and/or wasted.....So, I've not paid a dime.......   You must have a better source than mine that knows that 80 people are not getting indicted....I guess we will see who is right.......and we can both laugh at that "Special Grand Jury" that was set up for no reason...... :rolleyes:

  Would argue with her about it, but it's a waste of keyboard energy. She has been called out on her comments that simply are not true, and continues to make up talking points. I hope to God I never have her as a nurse. If she makes up topics here, no telling how she would treat you in a hospital.

  I think it will be more than a few. One does not organize a "special grand jury", for a few people.   And I still think everyone should be proud of the kids for their stand!

    My statement is based on someone else's knowledge. It would not really be a true statement to claim it is my opinion.

  I heard from a pretty good source that around 80 people will be indicted.....   This person had no reason to lie.......and I have no reason to make something up.....if I want to talk about BISD, there is plenty of facts that I don't have to go making stuff up ;)

  I thought the community standing up and coming together really sent a message. If you are looking for something to be proud of, that was it!
