All nominations must be made to TGCA no later than 12:00noon Monday before the state basketball tournament. C. Coaches may nominate as many of their own players as they choose. D. Stats must be included. So as far as Navasota players are concerned, either their coach is not a member of the TGCA or he did not nominate any of his players.

On the girls side, Orangefield is very strong. Orangefield Junior High Girls hosted a track meet on Friday and finished first. 7th grade -Orangefield 167pts, Hamshire Fannett 124pts, Bridge City 103 pts, Hardin Jefferson 92 pts. OJH girls brought home 21 first place ribbons winning all three relay events. 8th - Orangefield 257 pts, Hamshire Fannett 151 pts, Bridge City 162 pts, Hardin Jefferson 0 pts. OJH 8th grade girls also brought home 21 first place ribbons and won all three relay events. We also had two athletes break the Junior High school records: Casey Dixson - 2400M run - ran a 9:54.25, Rebecca Higginbotham - long jump - 15'7".

Congrats Ladies on a great season!!

Fairfield was ranked 9th in the final TABC poll!

I talked to Gary Stelly today and he still could not believe what happened. He said it was the worst call he has seen in his 25 years of broadcasting!!

I've post numerous email address on the Orangefield board to members of the UIL and TASO. I know alot of Orangefield people are emailing them as we speak. It will not change the outcome of the game, but maybe someone will look into it a little farther!! I would not expect the UIL to do ANYTHING about this. Right now, all the heat is on the officiating crew ( and one Official in particular ) and if the UIL were to step in, then the UIL would need to DECIDE SOMETHING about the issue. Not going to happen. By just staying quiet, the playoffs unwind - true, there was an injustice - but the UIL will never step up and comment on it. And, I'm not sure they have the jurisdiction to do anything. Orangefield girls, it doesn't help anything, but all the teams in district 21-3A know what a team you are. All we can say is, sorry this happened to you! One emailer has already had a response from the TASO Basketball president. He said he would look into it. Not that he can change the outcome of the game, but maybe he can reprimand the official.

I will have video on Friday, although not sure how much of the tech call you can see!

This thing is they didn't run on the court, they were just right infront on the bench. Ref warned them, Coach Jost got them back and he still called the tech. I can't say on here what I really want to say or I would get banned!!!!
