I'm just glad we are playing this game. This is one of the games I look forward to each year. I wish it was still the rivalry that it was when I was in school. As far as the game, both teams may come out rusty due to some missed practises this week. I expect a good game, closer than last years results. By the way to any of you Buna supporters, we will be tailgating behind the home stands, come by and say hi and get some food.

OF, HF, and Silsbee all finished 3-4 in district last year with OF beating HF, HF beating Silsbee, and Silsbee beating OF.

I know who the coaches have in mind and he is a great athlete just don't think he has ever played QB. Although, I think Statum may be playing, but not sure about some others and they will be missed.

We'll see on Monday! He's not the only one that might be going straight baseball!

BOBCATS Look to be strong this year. I think 21-3A is going to be allot more competitive than people think. Most of the teams have allot of experience coming back. With that being said I think it will come down to who does a better job in the following areas (not necessarily in this order ): A. - Coaching B. - Health C. - Academics Good Luck Bobcats, until you guys come to Hamshire "Then its on" That first district game between HF and OF will be huge. Winner will have a leg up on a playoff spot. The loser will have some work to do to make the playoffs.

Well due to some recent events in OF, this game just got a whole lot interesting.

I believe summer league is finished!

I know this may be coincidental, but looking at the chart that WOS87 posted if you add the gains of LCM, OF, & BC it's 358 almost the exact amount that WOS has lost (354).

Best Team - 1993 Sealy Best Game - Bellville vs Marlin 2003 Regional Final - game went double OT Best Player - Vince Young - Saw him twice in the dome his senior year. He was a man among boys. Michael Bishop is a close second. Thanks for reminding me of him AAW. He did beat LCM that year by himself.

Orangefield has gained some students. 15 years ago OF was right around 400, now we are just over 500. OF will continue to grow. New additions are going up all over the district.

No doubt about that although the rivalry is not as big as it was when I was in school. As far as this years game I think its too early to tell. Both teams have some holes to fill. Should be another good one.

Don't forget Moore from HJ. She may be the district MVP next year. HJ is loaded. OF will miss Little, but have some quality players coming back. HF will be improved also, but they need to hurry and get a coach in there. Silsbee is will tough as usual. BC was young last year, they will be better also. Orebo coming back has brought some excitement back to WOS. Again this coming year there will be a good team left out of the playoffs. Should be fun again.

A parent from Vidor told me today that they met her and that she will be coaching volleyball at Vidor but not basketball. They told me that her daughter was staying in HF and she does not want to coach basketball so that she can watch her daughter.

Lamar could not give her more $$ than she is making now?

Don't know if it is posted, but Coach Morrison is activly pursuing his replacement.

Smalley will be missed. Not only is he a good coach, but a good person too. Best of luck to him. If what I'm hearing about his replacement comes true, then OF will be in good shape!!

I'm wondering if an LU grad coaching high school locally is being considered!

Spurs don't stand a chance in this series. The NBA does not want them in the finals again. It's all about the ratings and the dollars. Same in the East. Pistons should just quit now. Since early in the season the NBA has wanted a Lakers/Celtics finals. All they see is $$$$$$$$$!!
