The clerical error was caught by the head of the executive committee.  The UIL was contacted and gave their opinion to the head of the executive committee.  He called the special meeting of the district ADs on Friday.  He informed the AD's of the UIL's opinion and a vote of the AD's was taken.  Orangefield, Bridge City and HF AD's did not vote.  The other four voted unanimously to rule the girl eligible based on the opinion of the UIL.  There was NO loop hole!!

District committee meets Friday at 11!

Grad is right.  I have been involved in the rankings the past few years, but it has become too difficult to get accurate rankings when we can't even get scores.  If we could get scores weekly then rankings would not be a problem.  It's bad enough that we can't even get all the schedules.  I've emailed coaches and schools and some will not respond.  The ladies deserve better than that!

So a team that doesn't win a district game has more players on all district than 3 teams that beat them and outscored them by a combined total of 122-76!

Hate this for Coach Pev.  He really loves that university and town, but like any coaching job it's about the Ws.  He will get a good assistant job somewhere, maybe back at LSU.  He has never coached high school so I really don't see him going that route.

All American candidate Kalis Loyd with 22 points and 12 rebounds in 18 minutes.  20th career double-double Freshman Asia Booker from Ozen had 14 points, 4 assists, 6 steals in 13 minutes.
