Look for Orangefield to be good over the next few years. New coach will have them playing good ball. The Freshman group only lost 1 game in Jr High to Lumberton in a tournament. Also watch out for Lumberton. That Freshman group is something special.

Orangefield beat HF in 5. OF and LCM will play Friday for 3rd and 4th seeding. Site not set yet.

I read since the SC band can't make it that the LSU band is learning the SC school song and fight song to play pre-game. Class move.

Orangefield is playing some really good volleyball right now. New coach has them playing well. Always a tough game with the Lady Tiger, should be fun!

Some good ones this week. Locally this is a big game for Lamar. They play Thursday and the game is televised on the American Sports Network channel 640 on Directv.

Orangefield has hired Jennifer Willis as new Girls Athletic Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach.  Coach Willis was the Bridge City Girls Head Basketball Coach the past three seasons.  Welcome Home Coach!

8th Grade Orangefield 36 Hardin-Jefferson 0   Big game next week between OF and WOS.  Both 8th grades are undefeated.

Impressed with the Bobcats tonight. Defense played really good.  Can't tell you the last time they had a shutout!  I know it's just a scrimmage but it was game like with four 12 minute quarters.  Offense moved the ball well all night too!

Lack of depth may get the Bobcats tonight. They have alot of guys that go both ways. It's probably going to take a few games to get them in game shape. OF needs to hang on to the ball.

I think this is correct Vidor 1st Team - 1 OF 1st Team - 0 Vidor 2nd Team - 1 OF 2nd Team - 0 First thing that I noticed was that Orangefield's 1st defense is head and shoulders above where it has been the past few years.  They gave up one long run to Vidor but not too much after that.  Last year I don't think OF ever stopped Vidor.  You can tell they have been working since last season.  OF is bigger and stronger than they have been the past few years. Orangefield's 1st offense look good at time, but I think I counted 4 fumbles.  Can't do that once the season starts.  Last year OF did not even get a 1st down in this scrimmage.  Wiley ran the ball hard, he looked good.  The QBs looked ok, they will only get better as the season goes on. Overall I thought OF looked good, but still have some work to do.  First thing is taking care of the football.  I think this team is capable of being very good.  They've brought some excitement back to the community. Some of the Vidor posters can help me out with them.  They are not the same team as the past few that Vidor has had.  It's still early and they will get better.

1. Silsbee 2. WOS 3. Orangefield 4. Bridge City 5. Buna 6. HJ 7. HF This could be one of the best teams OF has had in a few years.  On offense need someone to step up at QB, but have just about everyone else back.  Defense should be much improved under the new DC.

Probably shouldn't say until it's finalized Monday. They are not from this area.
