I don’t think Olin did anything different than he did for Stoerner, Alfred or Tate. Brian transferred because when Crosby hired Haynes he brought his some Kellen who Brian couldn’t beat out at the time. If Brian hadn’t gotten moved up his freshman year then I think he stays at Crosby and sits behind Haynes. Kellen went on to throw for over 4K yards in just 12 games that year and Brian transferred to Lee and sat behind Drew Tate until he could start his senior year. Hated to lose a kid like that who would’ve been a solid contributor to the program.

Exactly lol....what he did for jermaine, clint and drew was change their lives...IF Olin hadnt been their coach they wouldnt have been what they were either. The difference is they were at least Baytown boys.  Jermaine was DE until Olin arrived. Clint was a WR and Drew was a puny ball boy.  Had Olin been at say Sterling instead of REL I think we would be saying a different group of names which is my point. Olin was a head of his time and made a huge difference in not only those kids careers but many others at REL. They were horrible before he arrived.

Not buying that one.  BU managed to finish that cafeteria project and the parking lot painting projects during COVID....  I don’t think the gym lighting project was even on the itinerary...

United folks need to keep the pressure on.  Its hard to even see the spin of the ball in that environment.

Barbers Hill fan, since the game was canceled between the 2 schools due to Covid-19, after playing Hardin-Jefferson Saturday and Beaumont United tonight, give me your comparison thoughts...

After seeing both I would love to see them play. Honestly not sure who I would take.

United is athletic, long, fast and can shoot.  It would be a great matchup and needs to happen.

BH looked like they had no idea what they were walking into tonight.

They have played several common opponents..

memorial, png, bhill and northshore... hard to compare any of that stuff...

im glad to see the shewolves on the hardwoord! This has been a roller coaster for them!!  Here is to a healthy and cancellation free rest of the season! Hopefully setx gets to invade san antonio soon!

Why not get it scheduled and play?

  5. #22 and #17 had very nice games for BH which is what you need as a young team, to have the Jr and Srs step up.

I would argue with #3 and how many times she went to foul line, especially in the 1st half when the game was closer. She had a great game though.

I would argue the foul count is always going to go against HJ because they play hard tight defense. They are in your face and grabbing/pulling on you the entire game. Some game the refs let a lot of that go and some games they don't.  BH plays no where near the level of defense that HJ does, I think their defense impressed me the most.

Who else beat the HJ JV? They were good.

Agreed on atmosphere, it was fun.

BH is a well coached team who did a very good job with running their offense and with spacing and back door cuts which kept the game manageable.  There was some questionable calls on both ends of the floor.  #3 only went to the FT line 3 times,  she had a very good game offensively tho from the perimeter and finished the game with 33 pts.  #22 for BH can flat out shoot the basketball!  She finished with a team high 19 pts and #20 finished with 17.  The foul count favored BH both halves (1st BH 6 HJ 11 2nd BH 7 HJ 15+) BH shot 28 FT's (19-28) and HJ shot 11 FT (8-11)

The JV game was exciting with HJ missing 2 potential game winners at the buzzer!  That is HJ's JV 2nd loss of the season.  Great bball atmosphere for a girls bball game.

  6. Huh I'm not following. Max Preps lists scores every quarter ? Did someone make that up or when did they forfeit?

As far as officiating its been horrible all year. Last Tuesday at PNG the PNG parents had to be restrained in the stands (loudly yelled you suck at the Refs) and after the game a momma was cussing out the refs for all to hear. Maybe its just as much a PNG parent thing as it is officiating?

When playing at BH it’s expected....been like that since the mid 90s

Th officiating was bad, anytime someone breathed on #3 for HJ  BH got a foul called on them.  BH kept it around 15-18 for most of the game before some late minute baskets made it look worse than it was.  HJ is a great team but I thought BH played hard and tough. BH is a young team with team with two freshman getting a lot of PT.

Congrats to the BH JV for beating HJ 65-63. Was that the first loss for HJ's JV team? And I take it there is no freshman team?
