  1. Lee should be about like they have been more or less the last four years.

Need to figure out the QB situation. Have 4 or 5 solid skill position guys that will all need to play both ways to some extent.

Have an offensive line with several two year starters. Couple of solid linebackers.

I have a feeling they will play Joseph at QB and be more of a run first team this year.

Sterling has a really good quarterback. I'll need to see it to believe it that they will have a better year than Lee though.

  2. I have no dog in the fight really. Just pulling for the team closer to Houston. I also enjoy following when someone is able to take a team that is not accustomed to competing on such a level and putting them on his back and turning them into a winner like Lagway has been able to do with Willis. They have like 3 or 4 winning seasons in the last 15 years. I don't think it has anything to do with any change in attendance patterns. I think Lagway is just that good and turned them into a formidable team.

That's why it reminds me of VY. A team from Hiram Clarke that had never been much in quite some time and hasn't been much since, but he put them on his back for that one year.

Reminds me of the Texas City team too when someone swore to us on this forum that it wasn't just the Foreman twins. They were building a juggernaut over there. Then the Foreman twins graduate and they go from 14-1 to 5-6 the next year and havent been heard from in the past decade.

    Very

They sure put a whooping on Klein Cain. 72-19 in the 3rd quarter at one point. How did Summer Creek have so much trouble with Klein Cain?

Lot of people in 2001 thought Reggie McNeal was better than Vince Young. I remember walking into the Astrodome to watch that game and all of the North Shore fans sitting around me thought it was going to be a walk over. I was rooting for North Shore. If Madison didn't have Vince Young, NS wins by 70. If Willis doesn't have Lagway, I am sure Desoto wins by 60...

We will see tomorrow night how it goes when they do have him.

When you have a QB in high school that is two or three levels better than anyone else on the field strange things can happen.

Yeah against a bunch of mediocre teams.

They were up 35-0 on Tomball Memorial in the 4th quarter.

    Is Tomball Memorial mediocre?

Memorial scored 72 points in 3 quarters against Klein Cain. Is Cain mediocre? Cain nearly beat Summer Creek the first week of the year. Is Summer Creek mediocre?

Can you name a few other than Lagway or Bishop I have run out of resources ?

I'm going through their Hudl videos to get ideas of who to google.

    Debraun Hampton has some offers

    Carter Jenkins has some

    Josiah Stephens has some

    Amauree Holmes

Could be more but I stopped there.

  6. I keep browsing back through here each day thinking someone else would have started a thread about this matchup. I know it's not exactly in the service area here, but what a game this should be. The best quarterback in the nation going up against the #1 or 2 ranked boundary zone enrollment only football team in the nation.

Game of the year in my opinion.

  7. Looking at BC historical win loss records. Interesting how HS football goes in cycles. Won 10 or more 4 out of 6 years in the early 60s, then won no more than 5 games for 12 years in a row, starting in 1978 won 10 or more 6 out of 8 years with a state championship mixed in. 1990 through 2000 pretty successful. Five ten win teams and another state championship. Lot of mediocre to poor teams the last two decades. Seems like they could be turning it around again the last few years.

The only thing they got is wide receiver #4 who’s dangerous on punt returns.  RB #1 doesn’t hit the hole hard but if he gets in space will make you pay.  BH has the better QB, RB, WR’s and defense.  This one will not be as close as you think.  BH by 14…..maybe more.

Numbers 1,2,3 and 4 all look pretty dangerous to me..they are all underclassmen as well which is interesting.

  9. Wouldn't read toouch into the district only having one winner. Those Frisco teams are tough.

I looked at their Hudl and Richland has a stable of receivers and running backs. Not sold on their quarterback. He needs to really load up to get the ball down the field. I think BH can get some picks this week. Going to be a tough game though.
