Dayton w/4 off.all dist & the off.mvp returning-Defense 3 all dist returning.Agree Richardson(lee)a all dist pick is a great player.We'll have to see if they're crappy like you say ;) 8) ::)
Lee's numbers are down and they just do not have the horses in the trenches. They have some above average skill players, but this is no longer 7 on 7.
Lee has better skill position talent than anyone in this district. Whether that wins them any games, we will see. You're right, they don't have much in the trenches.  Or at linebacker. They had a really, really bad year last year and still nearly won district in track.  They have more speed and athleticism than anyone else in this district at the skill positions Again, that doesn't mean they will win a single game.
2.
Coach Olin always found a way to have a QB on campus. Wether he was from McNair or Barrett Station, he found a way to play at REL. It is what it is. Townley will do well in Huffman's system. He is not a bad baseball player either.
Who were the really good Gander qb's? Jermaine Alfred, was an offensive lineman as a freshman at Lee, certainly did not transfer in. Clint Stoerner, grew up deep in the heart of Gander country, played little league at Baytown Central in Pelly. Ell Roberson, grew up right across the railroad tracks from Lee high school. Drew Tate, was Olin's step-son, obviously living in Gander territory... Jeremy Moses was Baytown Lee all the way.  No move in there. Jose Jones went to Baytown junior, then transferred to SJ, then came back to Lee. Octavio Torres, don't know much about him, but I doubt Olin recruited him. So that leaves you with Brian Johnson, from Crosby. So they have one guy transfer in to play qb(for one year at that) in Olin's 15 years at Lee.
3.
They probably called Olin, former head coach at Lee, for advice.....he is the master. ;D
Riiiight...like Michael Davis that played at Lee as a freshman and sophomore, then "moved" to BH.
4. Spill the beans.  How did it go?
5. I would need to hear more facts before making a judgment one way or another. Why would he open fire on a bunch of teenagers out of the blue when he's just in town for a funeral? Weird set o circumstances.
6. Hmm? I didn't want to clutter the board with multiple Lee threads.
7. I tried to make it out to watch Lee at the Red Bull 7 on 7 at Alief Taylor yesterday.  It started at 3pm and I don't get off until 6, so Lee was done by the time I got there. Sounds like they represented themselves pretty well though.  Beat the fire out of Channelview at least ;D
8. Exactly. It was probably 19-7 at the time.  That would have made it 19-14 late in the game. I'm not saying Lee should have won or deserved to win, because Lee was an absolutely, downright, deplorable team last year. I'm just saying that it's not like Barbers Hill rolled all over them like Dayton did to Lee.
9. Lee was pretty well atrocious last year, I'll give you that. They do have 4 guys off the top of my head that were injured for the majority of the year last year that should all be healthy. Zellars, Landry, Willie and Scott never really were able to get completely healthy and contribute.  That's four starters that were out.  Really 6 because they all would have played both ways quite a bit. The whole program was horrible last year.  Just the year before though when Zellars was a freshman, they had a really good freshman group.  That freshman group dominated West Brook in the only game I was able to watch something to the tune of50-20. So, they are not completely devoid of talent out there. And if it weren't for a botched call by the official that brought back a fumble return for a td, Lee may have very well beaten Barbers Hill last year.
10. Lee has him, and it's still tough to win a game lol
11. According to the Baytown Sun, his name is Cedro.  Should be a name to watch for this upcoming year.
12. Yes he definitely isthe most physical back we have had in a while.  I am so used to the undersized types.  If theyy do a lot of two back stuff them johnson shiuld be ok but if not then johnson might need to slide to receiver in my opinion. Josh was night and day from last year to this year.  He looked more confident, stronger, faster and most importantly he was laying the ball right on the money in the passing drills.  The wind was devestating yesterday but he still did well. Richardson, landry, oneal, randle, slim.  They have a lot of athletes with good size. 40 and 8  played linebacker as well and both looked the part.  Different than previous years' 150 pound linebackers. I hate to get too excited after the downright pathetic year last year but lee has a lot of athletes.  Very thin in the trenches though
13. Ganders skill position players look mighty nice. Who is #40 and #8 for the white team jabu? #40 can run the ball.
14. Landry is going to make some college team very happy.
15. Jaevon must have scored 6 td's in that practice. I think "The Sieve" might be a good nickname for Lee's defense. I will try to make it to the spring game if I can. If they can't do anything this year, they can hang it up.  They won't have this assortment of athletes on the team again for a while, if ever, in my opinion. Is Josh looking good for starting qb?
16. Anyone know when and where? Anyone been to any of practices? It's tough for me with my new work schedule.
17. Great year GCM. Good to see Baytown teams represent well.
18.
Both pitchers worked out of huge jams, especially Kody Smith with the bases loaded and no outs. Can't remember were Lee was in the order but 3 k's in a row was big. Seeley is a college pitcher and good, Blem smoked his HR to dead center, lost a little focus and then Drouillard followed with a lazer that hit the LF pole. If they played a series, it would have been 2-0.
What do you have a crystal ball or a direct line to Miss Cleo?  LCM won the series.  It was a one game series.  Anything else is pure conjecture.
19. Way to go Lee.  Made Baytown Proud this year.
20. I'm pretty sure the Ganders coach will want to play one game series after one game series throughout the playoffs.  Whenever you have a guy that is head and shoulders above the rest of the staff, it's a no-brainer.
21. Eat em up Ganders. Hey Pat, when do the Ganders rematch with GCM?
22. Just got my hands on a Baytown Sun from last Friday. Lee won the 400 relay in 43.34. Lee came in second in the 800 relay in 1:31.08. They came in 4th in the 1600 relay in 3:32.41. All of those are times that would come in dead last in any respectable track district. Lee was able to excel in the triple jump, where Darrion Landry jumped 45' 5.5" and Curtis Randle went 44' 6.5" to take the top two spots.  Those are actually numbers that could serve them well at regionals if they can duplicate them. Myron O'Neal jumped a respectable 21' 1.5" to get second in the long jump. Let's hope all of these underclassmen can take a step forward next year and get back to being the Gander track team of a few years ago that could actually make some noise with the elite track squads in the area.
23. Wow, that's extremely surprising that Lee was anywhere close.  They don't have much this year.  Good job Ganders.
