8.
Well from the beltway at 288 it takes about 30 minutes but with the traffic going into Pearland, probably 45-50 minutes. Probably best to take Business 288 into Angleton, which is the first Angleton exit you'll see off of 288 and drive all the way down to FM523 then take a left. Stadium will be on the right hand side about 2 miles down. I'm glad someone going. I believe you went to the Angleton /Lee scrimmage last year and gave a pretty good summary, if I recall correctly. Varsity scimmage starts at 7:00.
I just noticed the part about me going last year. I did.  You have to take what I say with a grain of salt though at times, because my judgment is clouded when it comes to Baytown Lee. I will do my best to give a fair and balanced report tonight, but I can't promise anything.
9. I I get to that level of frustration from the first scrimmage, then I intend to skip the rest of the schedule much like last year.
10. Yes, I do take the Fort Bend Tollway to get to 288 and Hwy 6. I live right off the Fort Bend Tollway. I can be at 288 and hwy 6 by 5:45 probably. That should be south of most of the traffic.
11. I am going.  I don't know how much I might miss though. I don't get off work until 5:15 and I work at the Beltway and Westheimer  >:( It will take me probably at least 30 minutes to get to Highway 6 and 288 on a good day. How long should it take to get to the stadium from there?
12. Man, that'd be great if Lee College ever got a football team together.  Think of all the talent in the Houston area that has too bad of grades to get into a 4 year school.
13. I dunno, Sterling had that one good team back in the 70's.  What else do you want? Lee has two opportunities to do something before the whole program implodes in my opinion. They do not have anything coming up past the junior class that is there in my opinion. The junior class though ran roughshod over West Brook when they were freshmen, so I know the talent is there. Again, it goes back to coaching the talent and executing on Fridays whch I do not expect.
14. Exactly. Which was why I stressed twice that Lee may go winless again. Heck, Dallas Skyline seems to have 10+ guys a year get scholarships to major schools and they never make any noise in the playoffs. I was even surprised at how the heck Lee won the 400 relay at district.  They were about two seconds slower than they usually are.  This district is just not that athletic as a whole.  Well coached football teams at times, but not much speed. The UH guy must be a disgruntled Sterling fan or something, not sure.  This group of skill position players is as good as most that Olin ever had.  May not have the pure speed, but they have good height, jumping ability and ball skills.  They just don't execute at anywhere near the Olin level.  They don't execute as well as most Pee-Wee league teams actually.  If Olin were still coach, I would be as pumped or this year as I have been in years.  As it is, I just hope they win a game or two.
15.

Dayton w/4 off.all dist & the off.mvp returning-Defense 3 all dist returning.Agree Richardson(lee)a all dist pick is a great player.We'll have to see if they're crappy like you say ;) 8) ::)
Lee's numbers are down and they just do not have the horses in the trenches. They have some above average skill players, but this is no longer 7 on 7.
Lee has better skill position talent than anyone in this district. Whether that wins them any games, we will see. You're right, they don't have much in the trenches.  Or at linebacker. They had a really, really bad year last year and still nearly won district in track.  They have more speed and athleticism than anyone else in this district at the skill positions Again, that doesn't mean they will win a single game.
16.
Coach Olin always found a way to have a QB on campus. Wether he was from McNair or Barrett Station, he found a way to play at REL. It is what it is. Townley will do well in Huffman's system. He is not a bad baseball player either.
Who were the really good Gander qb's? Jermaine Alfred, was an offensive lineman as a freshman at Lee, certainly did not transfer in. Clint Stoerner, grew up deep in the heart of Gander country, played little league at Baytown Central in Pelly. Ell Roberson, grew up right across the railroad tracks from Lee high school. Drew Tate, was Olin's step-son, obviously living in Gander territory... Jeremy Moses was Baytown Lee all the way.  No move in there. Jose Jones went to Baytown junior, then transferred to SJ, then came back to Lee. Octavio Torres, don't know much about him, but I doubt Olin recruited him. So that leaves you with Brian Johnson, from Crosby. So they have one guy transfer in to play qb(for one year at that) in Olin's 15 years at Lee.
17.
They probably called Olin, former head coach at Lee, for advice.....he is the master. ;D
Riiiight...like Michael Davis that played at Lee as a freshman and sophomore, then "moved" to BH.
18. Spill the beans.  How did it go?
19. I would need to hear more facts before making a judgment one way or another. Why would he open fire on a bunch of teenagers out of the blue when he's just in town for a funeral? Weird set o circumstances.
20. Hmm? I didn't want to clutter the board with multiple Lee threads.
21. I tried to make it out to watch Lee at the Red Bull 7 on 7 at Alief Taylor yesterday.  It started at 3pm and I don't get off until 6, so Lee was done by the time I got there. Sounds like they represented themselves pretty well though.  Beat the fire out of Channelview at least ;D
22. Exactly. It was probably 19-7 at the time.  That would have made it 19-14 late in the game. I'm not saying Lee should have won or deserved to win, because Lee was an absolutely, downright, deplorable team last year. I'm just saying that it's not like Barbers Hill rolled all over them like Dayton did to Lee.
23. Lee was pretty well atrocious last year, I'll give you that. They do have 4 guys off the top of my head that were injured for the majority of the year last year that should all be healthy. Zellars, Landry, Willie and Scott never really were able to get completely healthy and contribute.  That's four starters that were out.  Really 6 because they all would have played both ways quite a bit. The whole program was horrible last year.  Just the year before though when Zellars was a freshman, they had a really good freshman group.  That freshman group dominated West Brook in the only game I was able to watch something to the tune of50-20. So, they are not completely devoid of talent out there. And if it weren't for a botched call by the official that brought back a fumble return for a td, Lee may have very well beaten Barbers Hill last year.
24. Lee has him, and it's still tough to win a game lol
