  1. According to the Chronicle, Lee lost 2-1.  Tough luck Ganders, nice season though.
  2. Sounds good Gander dad.  I haven't been able to make any Lee baseball games in quite a few years, but I always keep up with them through the Chronicle and Baytown Sun(back when the online service was free). Good to hear they have a solid team this year.
  3. Texas should take every top kid from the Golden Triangle they can get their hands on.
  4. Dayton, BH, GCM and Crosby Crosby will find some kind of way to get there with the amount of athletes they should have.
  5. Panama Myers is just a guy that probably takes Gander football a bit too seriously, but what can I say. I learned it from my Dad, the biggest Gander fan there ever was. Because of this, I have a hard time being objective. The players are there in Baytown for all three schools to be above average. I still say that Lee has more athletes than the other two though, at least at the moment. The freshman squad should probably be a sign that they will soon change.
  6. He was being recruited by Oklahoma until he broke his leg his senior year.  It's a shame that another D1 school did not take a flyer on him.  He may not be Oklahoma good necessarily, but he could have been of use to a Tulane or a North Texas or someone along those lines.
  7. Lee has had plenty of playoff teams over the past 20 years. There are WAY more Baytown athletes, even per capita, that go on to play college football than Crosby, Dayton or Barbers Hill. Baytown is crawling with athletes. Olin was the only one that could figure out a way to win though. It comes down to coaching, structure and discipline, and Baytown schools do not have it.
  8. I don't think either team is very good.  South Houston put a whoopin on Crosby, so I just think that both of these two teams are evenly matched, firmly in the mediocre level.
  9. Congrats to everyone that made one of these teams.
  10. Martinez struggled more because his ankle is just about broke. Green is not a very good college qb.  He just lobs balls out there, no zip on it at all.
  11. Good Job Humble. Sounds like a heart breaker for Central. I'm torn over this one as I generally root for both Humble and Central when Lee is not in the equation. Hopefully the Wildcats can beat Friendswood next week.
  12. That Brenham will be watching from home the rest of the way.
  13. Livingston color commentator is funny....
  14. hey jabu who is supposed to be Lee's starting five this year
  15. Always wondered how Lee couldn't field a better basketball team.  They don't have to be world beaters, but they are just flat horrible most of the time. They haven't really been very good since back in the Clayton Shields days. If Crosby can muster together 6 or 7 athletic kids that can run the floor, why can't Lee?
  16. Good job Ganders. Kingwood Park is tough....
