Anyone know when and where? Anyone been to any of practices? It's tough for me with my new work schedule.

[/quote] What do you have a crystal ball or a direct line to Miss Cleo?  LCM won the series.  It was a one game series.  Anything else is pure conjecture.

I'm pretty sure the Ganders coach will want to play one game series after one game series throughout the playoffs.  Whenever you have a guy that is head and shoulders above the rest of the staff, it's a no-brainer.

Lee can still be Baytown Champions though  ;D

Just got my hands on a Baytown Sun from last Friday. Lee won the 400 relay in 43.34. Lee came in second in the 800 relay in 1:31.08. They came in 4th in the 1600 relay in 3:32.41. All of those are times that would come in dead last in any respectable track district. Lee was able to excel in the triple jump, where Darrion Landry jumped 45' 5.5" and Curtis Randle went 44' 6.5" to take the top two spots.  Those are actually numbers that could serve them well at regionals if they can duplicate them. Myron O'Neal jumped a respectable 21' 1.5" to get second in the long jump. Let's hope all of these underclassmen can take a step forward next year and get back to being the Gander track team of a few years ago that could actually make some noise with the elite track squads in the area.

Wow, that's extremely surprising that Lee was anywhere close.  They don't have much this year.  Good job Ganders.

According to the Chronicle, Lee lost 2-1.  Tough luck Ganders, nice season though.

Sounds good Gander dad.  I haven't been able to make any Lee baseball games in quite a few years, but I always keep up with them through the Chronicle and Baytown Sun(back when the online service was free). Good to hear they have a solid team this year.

Texas should take every top kid from the Golden Triangle they can get their hands on.

Dayton, BH, GCM and Crosby Crosby will find some kind of way to get there with the amount of athletes they should have.

Panama Myers is just a guy that probably takes Gander football a bit too seriously, but what can I say. I learned it from my Dad, the biggest Gander fan there ever was. Because of this, I have a hard time being objective. The players are there in Baytown for all three schools to be above average. I still say that Lee has more athletes than the other two though, at least at the moment. The freshman squad should probably be a sign that they will soon change.

He was being recruited by Oklahoma until he broke his leg his senior year.  It's a shame that another D1 school did not take a flyer on him.  He may not be Oklahoma good necessarily, but he could have been of use to a Tulane or a North Texas or someone along those lines.

Lee has had plenty of playoff teams over the past 20 years. There are WAY more Baytown athletes, even per capita, that go on to play college football than Crosby, Dayton or Barbers Hill. Baytown is crawling with athletes. Olin was the only one that could figure out a way to win though. It comes down to coaching, structure and discipline, and Baytown schools do not have it.

I don't think either team is very good.  South Houston put a whoopin on Crosby, so I just think that both of these two teams are evenly matched, firmly in the mediocre level.
