Just to make it clear I only reported Lamar isn't on the move yet. Chris came by to talk about the new members. He even added he thinks there is another big shift in conferences coming up off camera. That is the same term Jason Henderson told me as well. The Sun Belt did request some things on multiple schools including Lamar. So many rumors when in reality most of the rumors are false or just message board stuff.

122 teams are put into a BracketBuster pool. From there "feature" teams are selected that will be televised through ESPN. All other teams are matched up. So yes it is technically a BracketBuster game but it's not a BracketBuster feature game.

A terrible season was expected with 8 new guys on the roster and no real shooters from last year's team. Knight also has said it was a mistake publicly about the schedule. Just a reminder Lamar's worst team ever was Jack Martin's 1967 team (5-19, 0-8). Two years later they were (20-4, 6-2). Let's see if there's an improvement next year. Two years from now they could very well be back on top.

Texas-Pan Am is playing in the WAC next year. That even surprised me.

Just to clear this up for most travel teams softball, baseball etc. after advancing teams are allowed to add players for depth. The team name doesn't change. When my dad coached travel softball for years in Groves after advancing past state we were allowed two extra girls. Then two more after advancing past regionals. Team never changed. The new players became members of the team. So congrats to the West Beaumont Blue Bulldogs.
