  2. BBVA Compass holds 22,000 and TSU will be playing there. I wish there was a way to have the smaller classes play at BBVA and larger classes at Reliant. I don't want the Texans to remove the grass surface though.
  3. If doesn't matter if the first game was at PN-G (which I never heard officially). Unless Memorial agrees to play both games on the road the Indians would still have to play a return game in PA. Like I said I have no problem going over there but after last year's incident there were concerns that had nothing to do with rosters. Faircloth isn't known for ducking competition and got the ball rolling on playing Memorial in scrimmages when the past coach had nothing to do with the Titans.
  4. No unless he decides to retire. And yes he has spoken about retiring off camera but not this year.
  5. Final SLC Weekend Lamar at UTSA A&M-CC at UTA Nicholls at SFA McNeese at SE Louisiana Texas St. at Northwestern St. Sam Houston at UCA Doesn't look good. A LU sweep and SFA collapsing would be the long shot. Two games back of the Jacks and hold the tie breaker.
  6. Haven't heard. I know Faircloth really likes scrimmages with PAM.
  7. Following the incident with West Brook fans at Memorial last year all talk of the Indians and Titans game seemed to evaporate. I remember a few years back PN-G played at Forest Brook and had some issues. The school vowed to never have their fans put in harms way again. Considering my mom lives pretty close to Memorial Stadium playing there would've been fine to me. With the amount of players Memorial has lost too I don't think it had anything to do with the competition.
  8. Summer Creek went 9-2 last year. 6-1 in district. Wins: Pasadena Rayburn, Magnolia, South Houston, Huntsville, Kingwood Park, Willis, New Caney, Caney Creek, Porter, Humble. Loss: Willis, Magnolia West (Bi-District)

  10. The coach says the schedule is nearly complete. A couple of WAC and SEC schools have to finalize things after conference realignment. They will play 8 fall games with 4-6 of those at home. Sept. 22 LU will host Texas Women's University at Ford Park. They will also play at Louisiana-Lafayette in the fall. As far as the spring things will start at the UTSA Tournament. They'll also play in the University of Texas Tournament. She couldn't remember their spring home opener though.
  11. Well I hated to hear about it. He was very out reaching to the media. Giving out his personal number. I even had a chance to hang out with him the Tuesday night he was introduced. Seemed like a good guy.
  12. I think the Sun Belt would be a good move but I'm not seeing a big increase of fan support with it. LU fans are already showing their ho hum attitude with football. A LOT of empty seats last year. And if the weather is too chilly, hot, or rainy they don't exist. And this is coming from a proud Lamar Cardinal.
  13. Dylan Saatzer just let me know as of now they are on schedule for 5.
  14. If you look at the radar I think baseball is a longshot even tonight.

  16. PN-G's 3 losses are to Barbers Hill x2 and Spring. But they've also beaten Langham Creek (Ranked 7th in 5A at the time), Boerne Champion (was 10th last week), Bridge City (2nd in 3A). Went (12-3) vs playoff teams in the regular season plus a 17 game winning streak. So it was a little surprising it took this long.

  18. It was a crazy few days at work. Beaumont to Katy. Then sitting around at a BBQ place to see if they could find a field. Finally get to Sterling and it starts raining just before the first pitch. Back on Saturday for a muddy mess in Baytown the to Aggieland where I swear it was a 100 degrees Monday. I'll take that over a coin flip any day though.
  19. I remember PN-G vs San Marcos. Game 2 of the series was Friday at Katy Morton Ranch, moved to Baytown Sterling. Rained out. Started again in Baytown. Rained again and finally finished the deciding game two at A&M on Monday.
  20. Nederland's step child??? Montgomery is always good along with their entire district. Here's my pick. PN-G in 1. I think the rains are going to shorten the series.
  21. What poll is this? THSBCA poll is still April 27th.
  22. Come on these polls can't be trusted! PN-G has 25 wins not 24. Poll is garbage LOL. As long as players remember the number on the right of your school name on the scoreboard is more important than the one on the left of it in polls they'll be ok.

  24. True, but I was talking more control issues. Mechanics, etc. From the Nederland game to the Vidor, LC-M and Lee outings something has changed. I went back and looked at the video. Could simply be fatigue considering the kid does it all in football, basketball and baseball.
  25. Not sure if Nelson is having arm issues in some way but this was the third straight time I saw him pitch that something just didn't look right. Having control issues and staying open. Started seeing it against Vidor. Hope that's not the case.
