  3. MaxPreps showed PNG beating MacArthur 73-39 earlier today then it switched to what you have. Wonder what happened?
  4. 2275 was the exact number for last realignment that created a 6A with 247 schools. Most people are predicting a drop in the cutoff to keep 6A with a similar amount of schools. I believe a 2275 cutoff with current enrollments would only have 221 schools, plus 7 opt ups. So 228.
  5. It was 4 in the regular season. PNG chose to have an early release to travel to La Porte and Splendora. Those aren’t 3 hour drives. But those four days were also built in the original school calendar. So parents had plenty of time to plan. You can’t really do anything about the playoff releases.
  6. PNG turned in 1650. Top of 5A-DI is 2274. So before the number changes that’s a difference of up to 624. They currently miss the DI cutoff by 253. It would be insane to opt up from a division they’ve been succeeding in competing against schools their own size. The 1,000 spread I referred to is the bottom of 5A-DII to top of 5A-DI.
  7. The long drives are only for football, so honestly it's not a huge deal. They definitely wouldn't opt up to compete against some schools that have nearly 1,000 more students.
  8. Hardin-Jefferson 61 Goose Creek Memorial 54 F (We played GCM not Samuell)

  12. The stadium is, and has always been in Shenandoah. More people call it The Woodlands than Conroe though. My mom used to live not too far from the stadium.
  13. PNG played three larger schools in non-district play, had a win over a Top 10 ranked team and beat two other teams that were in the Top 25 of the final computer rankings. Not hating on BC, but their schedule was considerably tougher.
  14. He got pulled up Nederland week. Ran in a TD that game. Think he scored against Dayton too.
  15. They use a computer formula.
  16. It actually does go down as a Co-District Championship.
  17. The DEC voted to send the assistant coach to face the UIL because he did not follow procedures and turn in the watch immediately. An ethics violation. That's why they met today. The UIL mentioned that they were making a decision on personnel, but they also wanted to give their opinion on competitive advantage. They could not conclude that it made any difference in the outcome of the game. All members had all the video that was presented during the DEC to review before this morning. People have to remember that these meetings are also used to clarify things for the future and admitted that making a ruling on the outcome of the game after the DEC chose not to would lead us down a bumpy road.
  18. Was told PNG is 1650 (Down 51) and was also told Lumberton is 1193 (Down 49).
