  1. Last I heard Crosby 0 PN-G 7 2nd Grand Slam PN-G
  2. Didn't notice it was already posted. The shot from McInnis was a BOMB.
  3. This was in today's Chronicle 22-5A Kingwood 15-4, 3-1 Sterling 9-9, 3-1 West Brook 15-3, 3-1 Humble 12-8, 2-2 Lee 11-8, 2-2 Spring 8-10, 2-2 Westfield 3-16, 1-3 Memorial 7-9, 0-4
  4. My senior year we played in the Deer Park Tournament, and opened with Fort Bend Elkins(ranked 1st in the nation at the time.) We had a relief pitcher that came in after we were being drilled(I'll leave him nameless). The shot went deep to left field past the fence, over a ditch and into a bus barn, an oldtimer at the park said it was the deepest homerun he'd ever seen.
  5. I'm not sure but since it's on ABC, my station Ch. 12 will be covering step by step. It doesn't matter what network it's with, this is great. I'm glad some good folks are getting some help in these tough times. While I was lucky with my house in Groves, it was really sad to see the damage in Sabine just a few miles away, everyday I thank god that the storm moved over just a little.
  6. Thompson is a great choice as far as I can see. I live just a few blocks away from Memorial, and even though I went to PN-G I hope Memorial can get it together. Both of my parents went to TJ so I have a bit of a PA connection. They have the talent, now they have some leadership. That's not dogging Colbert, I have nothing but good things to say about him, but sometimes change is good, I wish him all the luck at Atascocita. I see Memorial making it to the playoff easily. I really hope the kids get pass their dissapointment and give this change a chance.
  7. I guarantee practice won't be fun. Stone's 1st year at PN-G we were 10-run ruled by Elkins(Ranked No. 1 in the USA at the time), then by Deer Park in consecutive days at the Deer Park Tournament, we only managed two hits against the Deer, some guy I know got one of them Anyways we rained out on day three and missed our matchup with Conroe, needless to say none of us looked forward to the following Monday.
  8. The only state poll I look at is the Texas Coaches Poll. www.thsbca.com
  9. Titans (3-0) that has to be a first!
  10. That's a bit of suprise with Jasper ranked #3. But then again, it's early anything can happen.

  13. I don't understand why anyone would see blowouts. Especially considering the scores from the PN-G/LaMarque series the past two years. 2005 @LaMarque 27 PN-G 10 Cougars scored two touchdowns in the fourth to pull away. 2004 LaMarque 21 @PN-G 7 Coogs scored a fourth quarter touchdown to pull away, Indians turned the ball over multiple time inside the LaMarque 10.
  14. I'm not here to say either Mid-County school will win or loose but I don't see blowouts. PN-G didn't get blown out by LaMarque the past two years when the Indians weren't exactly a powerhouse. The Cougars aren't the type of team that usually hands it to PN-G. A perfect example of a team that can is a Kilgore or North Shore when I was back in high school. They're huge across the front line and run it right down your throats. I've seen Brenham and they're not nearly as big. I don't understand while people get so negative sometime, I always want our local teams to knock off outsiders.
  15. My senior year at PN-G we played in the Woodlands and Deer Park Tournaments. It was tough, but helped us when district came around. Considering it's a seven team district I can understand playing games instead of taking days off. It makes for good practice, and allows you to try things you wouldn't in league play.
  16. I was at PN-G this weekend, looks horrible. Not only is the fence, backstop and dugouts damaged but also the playing surface. Coach Stone said about 5 inches of dirt was blown away. Later this week a group will be in town to resurvace it.
