  1. Sorry I don't have my stuff in front of me, what place was this for 3rd?
  2. I had a chance to check out today's intrasquad and I can tell you one thing this team can hit. As soon as I stepped on the field Collin DeLome dropped a BOMB over the right field wall. Coach G said the pitching is coming along and added Allen Harrington is looking better than ever. LU opens up the season at the Citrus Tournament held by UTPA against nationally ranked Oklahoma St. Harrington will have a pitch limit of 90 but if the weather is cool the limit will be 70. One other thing the red caps are back for the first time in years. They will wear the red and blue with the red and blue jerseys while the red cap will be worn with the white.
  3. I have to agree with everything you say. There record (9-18, 3-8) is a little misleading. Things could have been much better if they won the close games. Non-District LC-M, L 53-50 WO-S, L 65-62 Barbers Hill, L 65-61 District Nederland, L 68-67 Central, L 54-51 LC-M, L 56-54 Nederland, L 56-54 Vidor, L 56-52 Central, L 59-54
  4. I'm trying to go Friday when I'm off for at least the noon and 3:30 game.
  5. Teepee gone, headdress to replace it from pngindians.com....The article states that it's twice as tall as the previous run-through (The headdress is 20 ft tall and the tunnel is 9ftx12ftx15ft. Brian McClean of Vacuum City funded this to the tune of $13,750. Nice article by the sports editors Beau Pent and Zack Wilmore.
  6. Of course I'm not pulling either way but I have to admit I've been to a lot of games in my time and I think Central is one of the roughest teams I've ever seen.
  7. Very rough game, refs didn't do a good job keeping control. Fight almost broke out in the end, highlights at 6...
  8. I think "Longhorn" themed fun is more along those lines. I'm not here to judge but everytime I'm on the UT campus there are too many guys walking hand and hand for my taste. Plus they say you haven't experienced Austin until you see this guy. Enough said.
  9. Just so people know, Mahoney did play tonight.
  10. He's not a bad coach. He's very well respected around the country and he bring the style of bigger programs with him especially when it comes to dicipline. There are a lot of the things that go on behind the scenes that the casual fan does not know about. James was given more then enough chances to prove he wanted to play but he hasn't on and off the court. His attitude has gotten worse. Mertz leaving was expected I don't believe the other two suspension will last the rest of the year.
  11. I'll be there, maybe I'll pick up a saw 'em off shirt, lol...Gig 'em
  12. Don't all the teams play each other twice in district? Isn't a little early to talk about a district championship? But I do agree Lumberton is the team to beat, I see thing this way for the top 3.... 1. Lumberton 2. PN-G 3. Vidor or Nederland
  13. Lew Ford, Ben Weber, Curtis Legendre, Kyle Stutes, Allen Harrington, Jason Stutes, Bo Wortham, Dustin Marsh...I'll think of more
  14. I think 4A, them and PA Lincoln were alway in Austin for the final four.
  15. My cousin Lindsey Trahan played for the HJ girls team but is out this season due to a torn up knee. I wish the Lady Hawks good luck through the year, I know it's killing her not to play.
  16. I really believe you'll see Lamar spending a lot of money soon. Let's get the soccer program going, then softball, and then finally what we've been waiting for, a team that has been undefeated since 1989, LAMAR FOOTBALL!
  17. Plan on the Cards having a great season. Most of the online sites I subscribe to are picking McNeese and Lamar to advance to regionals. I'm saying it now Lamar will win the SLC.
  18. I know what you mean about the Silsbee/Jasper thing. When I was growing up PN-G people would take down their signs for the Nederland week. Maybe it's a little crazy and overall not the right thing to do, but the rivalries make everyting a little more fun.
  19. I agree about West Orange, and I didn't exactly like how the Hawk Hecklers were moved. But as far as old gyms you can't beat Orangefield, I still love that gym.
  20. I've said before and I'll say it again Kristy Sanders is my favorite girls player in the are. Gabe it's ok I'm on the bandwagon let's go Lady Bobcats. Maybe we can bring some of that PN-G spirit over there.
  21. I was wondering how PN-G was doing, I saw them beat WO-Stark.
  22. So you're a Bobcat, I'm sending out a mass email. I would start packing now, lol. Seriously I just left Orangefield, Kristy Sanders is our Athlete of the Week.
  23. Of course PN-G vs Nederland in all sports. Reason: Birth PN-G vs LC-M in baseball Reason: Two good programs plus some things that happen during fall or summer league games. There was a time when I was in school that the benches cleared during one summer game. Even though we wanted to beat Nederland we had a lot of respect for those guys considering the Babe Ruth connection but we just flat out could not stand LC-M.
  24. You left PN-G out, they have 3 pts
  25. You're right about the Dogdome. It's a very unique atmosphere with plenty of seating, with a new wood floor it would be great. Their competition gym is too small and bland IMO.
