  1. Not looking good on 8-10, sitting 5 over. Stanford is leading at -8 after 5-8.
  2. Every year sebaseball.com makes an NIT field. I know it's not real but it's fun to look at. Regionals of note. Norman, OK 1. Oklahoma 4. Wright St. 2. Southern Illinois 3. Lamar Lexington, KY 1. Kentucky 4. SFA 2. Evansville 3. Illinois Baton Rouge, LA 1. LSU 4. Binghampton 2. Texas St. 3. Louisiana Tech Richmond, VA 1. UTSA 4. Quinnipiac 2. Delaware 3. Richmond By the way this is the 3rd straight year LU's been listed in their NIT field
  3. I'll feel good if they can get close to even after nine. Then from there they could takeover.
  4. PN-G's is usually the first home district game, so that would be LC-M.
  5. I believe it only includes people in their circulation area.
  6. Not for me yet. But I did look at the entire field and Lamar faced 8 of the 64 teams this year, this is how they fared (the numbers to left are the regional seed) Lamar was (7-7) vs the field. 1) Rice (0-1) Lost 13-4 2) Creighton (1-0) Won 12-3 3) Oklahoma St. (0-1) Lost 5-2 3) St. John's (0-1) Lost 14-3 4) Illinois-Chicago (0-1) Lost 9-8 4) Sam Houston St. (3-1) Won 9-6, Won 8-7, Won 5-4, Lost 7-3 2) UL-Lafayette (0-2) Lost 5-4, Lost 3-1 4) Le Moyne (2-0) Won 6-1, Won 8-2

  8. I really like this format, it gives everyone a fair chance. Just for fun this would've been the SLC with this format Pool A 1) UTSA 4) Sam Houston St. 5) McNeese St. 8 ) Northwestern St. Pool B 2) Lamar 3) Texas St. 6) SFA 7) Southeastern Louisiana
  9. Teams were split into pools Pool A 1) Texas (2-1) 4) Nebraska (1-2) 5) Texas A&M (2-1) 8 ) Kansas St. (1-2) A&M advance due to head to head win with UT Pool B 2) Missouri (1-2) 3) Oklahoma St. (0-3) 6) Baylor (3-0) 7) Oklahoma (2-1) Baylor advances

  11. Just got back from Natchitoches it was a great game. Just one thing Baker didn't strike out to end the game. With a runner at 3rd and 2 outs Baker hit a shot right to the 3rd baseman who threw him out. Coach G said after the game he was suprised the 3rd baseman was playing so close to the line, normally teams give Baker the line because he hits more to the hole. Instead he played the line and it worked out, G said just about any game this year that would've been a hit for him. Also G flat out said he didn't believe his team lost to Sam Houston last night he didn't want to go into detail but you could tell he was still frustrated.
  12. 11:00 am 1) UTSA vs 2) Lamar 3:00 pm 3) Texas St. vs 6) SFA 7:00 pm 4) Sam Houston St. vs Winner of UTSA/LU
  13. Cowboys refuse to go down by 10 run rule again Right Now SFA 11 McNeese 3 6th Cowboys still batting
  14. Best part about this is the fact we only used Harrington. I would expect Sisk to pitch tomorrow against the Kats.
  15. Sam Houston won 2-0, they will now play Lamar. Texas St. faces UTSA.
  16. Also the national feeds rarely send down highlights. Everytime they've actually sent down Dynamo or FC Dallas I show it. I also show the US national team, of course some of my friends in the media ask what was I thinking but while I don't think it's a premier sport yet in the US there is plenty of interest. I actually love to watch soccer (more than NASCAR, don't tell too many people ;D
  17. Here are some regional projections of interest sebaseball.com Houston Regional 1. Rice 4. Prairie View A&M 2. TCU 3. Baylor Lafayette Regional 1. UL-Lafayette 4. Alabama 2. Oklahoma St. 3. Wake Forest College Station Regiional 1. Texas A&M 4. UTSA 2. Mississippi St. 3. Oral Roberts Austin Regional 1. Texas 4. Brown 2. UC-Irvine 3. Michigan RIVALS.COM Houston Regional 1. Rice 4. Lafayette 2. Mississippi St. 3. Baylor Lafayette Regional 1. UL-Lafayette 4. Tennessee 2. Oklahoma St. 3. Michigan Austin Regional 1. Texas 4. Prairie View A&M 2. Arizona 3. Oral Roberts Fort Worth Regiional 1. Texas A&M 4. UTSA 2. TCU 3. Rutgers
  18. I will add that one year an SLC team will make it out just not this year. Pitching is key at regionals and the conference is a little thin there compared to past seasons.
  19. No SLC team has made it out yet......but Lamar has come close a couple of times. For the most part though the SLC has been able to compete in regionals. From what I'm hearing the winner of the SLC will likely head to Texas A&M with Texas and Rice also options. Though unlikely I've seen one projection having UL-Lafayette hosting with the SLC representative playing there as the 4 seed.
  20. In 2004 Lamar pushed Texas to the if game for the regional championship. 2004 Regionals Arkansas-Won Texas-Lost Arkansas-Won Texas-Won Texas-Lost
  21. Yeah Carrie was great. Her older sister Aimee who is now the head soccer coach at PN-G played for my dad's travel softball team he coached, very athletic family.
  22. No the SLC will allow you to host even if you aren't qualified. Though they don't prefer it. If a team is eliminated from contention a couple of weeks before the end of the regular season the host has the option to give up the tournament and put it up for bid. I don't like this if you're not in you shouldn't host.
  23. I think the helmet looks fine : But back to the tournament. The SLC will for sure only get 1 bid that being the automatic which makes things even more exciting. The upset special isn't that far fetched it's amazing how far SFA has come since last year.
  24. Very intimidating guy to face in high school and in summer league. I can honestly say he never struck me out, I closed my eyes and wallked a couple of times ;D
  25. Here's what I think 1) UTSA over 6) SFA (Though this tournament has never been good to No. 1 seeds) 2) Lamar over 5) McNeese St. (Should be a very tough game for the Cards) 3) Texas St. over 4) Sam Houston St. (Bobcats have a team that can win it all) I know I picked the higher seeds but this year things are really even. So with my picks here are the second round matchups I predict. Thursday Games 11 am 6) SFA vs 5) McNeese St. 3 pm 1) UTSA vs 4) Sam Houston St. 7 pm 2) Lamar vs 3) Texas St.
