Coach Dyer is staying at WO-S!!
Talked to him today. Good news for WOS.
Spoke to Coach Dyer through email today as well. Very good news for WOS and a disappointment to the rebuilding process in Bear Country.
Coach Dryer is a quality coach, man, and leader to these high school kids. I wish him continued success in his new position.

I want to reply to comment about the "Stangs looked down". I was there and do have to agree with that statement. I also do not want to sound as if I am making excuses but there are factors involved that need to be taken into consideration. 1) Most of the students have been working hard on the TAKS test all week. 2) The students were informed earlier in the day that the Inspire 12 program was being shut down. For those who do not know about the program, it is a privately funded program for graduating students from WO-S and LC-M. Provided the student meet certain requirements, the program pays for scholarships (everything but lodging) to any Texas state college. Last year they paid for 175 children to attend college. I know that from talking so some of the senior kids that they are hurt and feel like they have been thrown under the bus and are very disappointed. Now many of these kids will not be able to attend college because of finances. What I am trying to say is that yes they looked down but they had reasons to be if that was the case.
The taks test doesnt affect athletes .. its an easy test .. and if they have finance problems they can get financial aid to pay their entire way including lodging some of my friends have financial aid that pays their way .. so those arent reasons to be down for a baseball game .. and besides once you step on the field you are supposed to have your mind on baseball only nothing else .. congrats on the win cats hope you do much better than last years team did

To be honest with all the coaching changes in 20-4A Im looking forward to just about any game, I mean Ozen, Central, LCM, Port Arthur, PNG.... A new coach can make a huge difference in wins and losses....

There WAS a lot of hype accosiated wit the PNG job. I've also noticed a big diffence in the intest on the AD hires even on this site.

well ok i will back up on this just a little.wo-s has lost alot of coaches over the years,dang good ones at that, but loseing top notch coaches still not stop these kids from doing great things on friday nights.sure the kids needs coaches i was just kidding aggie, my lord son sorry if i upset you lord shakes.coach hooks has always done a super job of finding replacements for his staff and i feel sure when dan ,retires i do belive we all know who will fill his shoes both guys where the same size shoes coop.
Sorry,,, just had to give you a hard time on your first post. Hooks always finds a way to reload with players and coaches. I'm sure there's a lot of good coaches standing in line to be a part of that program. Its somewhat true for the students too.
Yall are assuming those positions will be filled. I wouldn't count my chickens.

It was a decent fight but I wasn't terribly impressed. Sanchez was versatile but didn't appear hungry (except for his annoying over the top entrance)

we all know ARE SHOULD know its not the coaches that make the kids look good ,its the kids that make the coaches look good . you know it and i know it just away of life in west orange.its easy to be a coach if you have the kids to do the job and the line is getting longer at there school. now its your turn
I didn't know you felt Hooks, coach T and all the other WOS coaches played such a small role in the programs success. According to your statement any coach could be successful at WOS. ???
