The big question here, is who do the dems have as a challenger? The farther he goes to the right (like building the wall, which I agree with) the more ignited the left will get.

Abbott may have a real challenger. [Hidden Content]

What ya going to do with your 16 cent savings.

I can now give eight more opinions. That's just my two cents. -
Don’t know about BISD but most districts are struggling with bus driver shortage which ultimately affects school hours and schedules. A lot depends on the ability to get kids to school.

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that thekind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending onwhere she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged andmasculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, shetends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and aspear lodged in his chest.

I tend to never post on race topics but appreciated this and thought it was worth sharing. [Hidden Content]

I know there are many different situations. However, some professions need certain areas of awareness. Law enforcement should be conscientious of the consequences of driving under the influence. Politicians should not post racial rants, teachers should not post risqué photos, etc. Some things are career enders for some professions. Might sound like I’m throwing stones but That’s not my intent.

It might be safe to assume a cop that is an irresponsible drinker may be an irresponsible officer in general.

Just won't let me post as easily as it has in the past.

Teachers have their challenges like most do in their chosen profession. Unfortunately, many of the challenges and educational quality shortfalls rest on the state that regulates such things, many who have no clue about education. The state requirements alone are enough to make some consider another path. If you want quality people to consider teaching when they're trying to decide which career path to take, it has to be appealing financially. You think teaching is no big deal until there are no teachers available.

A teacher’s value is whatever it takes to keep quality educators in the classroom.

Furthermore, I understand BISD is receiving over 25,000,000 in ESSER funds with much being able to go towards selective payroll an positions.

There are diag vacancies in most area schools. They need to increase the pay to keep up
-
This is the case with most districts, not just BISD. Most districts play catch up with insurance increases. However, from what I’ve seen or heard, BISD pays more towards insurance than most.

Senate Passes Bill to Make Juneteenth a Federal Holiday
mat replied to Bobcat1's topic in Political Forum
I’m completely in favor if it means a paid day off work. If it’s not a paid day, it’s not a real holiday. 😁 -
It probably won’t have much negative affect. However, biased media will be all over any incident that could be attributed to this change.

The state is notorious for supposedly passing bills to improve school funding while taking or modifying other fundings which makes it a wash. The old bait and switch.

Hey there friend, just like I tell my granddaughter, I'm not judging anyone. My beliefs are based on what God thinks and what his word says. To say that I'm judging is in fact judging me, but I'm Ok with that. We all probably own some level of hypocrisy, me included, whether we admit it of not. However, God loves the sinner but hates the sin and he's no hypocrite.

This is a message that should be the parents decision. Nickelodeon is definitely out bounds. That's just my opinion.
