Let's see they are 2-2 since Coach Saveat departure and they were 5-2 in the first half of district. Last night they played without Derrian Jones(12ppg 6rpg)& Dotson(10ppg 5 rpg) now if you don't think that accounted for something then I have to question your knowledge. They keyed in on Pender the whole night with dbl and triple we just didn't execute as a team and it happens .I thought they played way better than the Nederland game . Yes they have to make free throws and rebound better let the season play out none of us are sure how it will end. And this message is for these grown men haters out there stop taking about people kids at the games you never know who is around I have thick skin but saying the wrong thing about someone's kids will get you hurt jmo

There's CP3 in LA & CP4 in Beaumont.  The Dagger!!!!!! More impressed with the Finish than disappointed with the Start. Way to fight through adversity.  If you've never played a game of this sort, you have nothing to dram from in the future. Really don't want this kind of start, but it happens. Go Panthers!!!!

I know , so am I ,just had to poke fun .I would also think the coaching staff have to be commended for making adjustments in second half to get the W.

Im always happy when THEY win as a team but they have to start playing better .

Ouch!! Yeah teams like ... Well, we all know who they are without blasting it out.
"Some play a bunch of 3A-4A teams/tournaments to boost their win- loss record  in order to be mentioned in the same conversation of success. Come district play moral victories means almost as much as a win  to some...Maybe one day the UIL will introduce  the sport of Horse Shoes when "Almost" can be considered some sort of a win.. "

That's the goal every year and thus far its a work in progress...Playing a non cupcake schedule and mostly 5A/6A teams/tournaments to get battle tested and mental toughness. Some play a bunch of 3A-4A teams/tournaments to boost their win- loss record  in order to be mentioned in the same conversation of success. Come district play moral victories means almost as much as a win  to some...Maybe one day the UIL will introduce  the sport of Horse Shoes when "Almost" can be considered some sort of a win...22-5A District race will be a heated battle as usual with some very close games...The so called top teams must play their A game every-time or stuff can and will happen...

Some play a simplier(Cup-Cake) pre-district schedule some dont...

I was impressed by Wheelers speed and finishing.  I can't remember but I thought be dished a time or two.  I was really impressed by him coming out and congratulating Devon just before Devon received the player(s) of the game awards.  Very solid first game for my Tigers.  We will improve on some things and get better as time goes on.  But remember, this was the first time the entire team has been on the floor together in a game. The football players didn't play in any scrimmages and I know during the summer we were always without a player or two. So there is definitely going to be some improvement on timing and other team work areas.

Don't agree with this at all.  Atascocita has plenty of talent, some of the best in the area.  But, several other teams do too.  I don't see the same thing yet at Summer Creek.  They had a good run in 4A/5A, but have mostly been crushed by bigger, faster and deeper quality 6A teams.  

I don't know about Stump in the playoffs at Brook, but I have seen what he has done at Atascocita and have to applaud.  They had a fantastic playoff run last season.  They are not as good this season and I don't expect as much.  But, leading up to last season I used to look at all the obvious talent on the Atascocita team and wonder why they weren't a major contender.  Then Stump arrived and now they are.

Some... there are 2 middle school That feed into Ozen...  somehow or another, some good talent from those schools end up at West Brook....  
On an slightly unrelated topic, there's a girls basketball phenom that's top 5 in the country right there at Beaumont Legacy and she went to middle school right at Odom, a feeder school to Ozen....

1. They had the suckiest coach in West Brook history in that 7 year period.
2. Ozen Opened up (First year was '97, believe first football varsity team was '98 ) and took almost all of that great Pear Orchard talent.
