I am not sure if he is the best as such things are so subjective but I think Dustin Hood from Nederland is certainly in consideration from that school. He was all district in football and 1st Team All-State as a senior yet did not take a football scholarship. He played four years in high school baseball making all district shortstop three times and also as an all district pitcher making him all district in two positions. Then he went on to play college baseball at Wake Forest and I believe started every game of his career including as a true freshman. He basically reached the very top of two major high school sports and it continued to excel in college in one of them. There are a lot of two sports players in high school but he not only played but was at the head of the line. But then you have to look at similar credentials from Eric Cammack who ended up for a brief time in the majors................

The gave everyone another "A" so that there was not anymore B Ball. Class B then became Class A, 1A became 2A, 2A became 3A and so on. The districts did not change, just the names of the divisions. Beaumont had its own 5A (then 4A) district within its city limits for a time. There were three schools each from BISD and SPISD. The six team district was French Buffaloes, Forest Park Trojans, Hebert Panthers, Charlton Pollard Bulldogs, Beaumont Royal Purples and South Park Greenies. The south Jefferson County/Orange Country district was Orange Lutcher Stark Tigers, Vidor, Nederland, PNG, PA Jefferson Yellow Jackes and PA Lincoln Bumblebees. The West Orange Chiefs were 3A back then and later consolidated with Stark to create WO-S. This is assuming that my memory is still holding up and I think the Beaumont district was 21-4A and the south county/Orange County district was 22-4A (now 5A).

If Faircloth goes 3-7 or worse, there might be some rumbling. Otherwise, I doubt it.

[/quote] Before the flashlights it was strings of lights like mini Christmas lights that were clipped to the uniforms. They have problems with them getting old and went to the flashlights on the legs for a short time. The last year they did so (like you mentioned), they changed the light system and it took several minutes before the lights warmed up and it delayed the game. The discontinued the lights out show after that.
