    This district seems to be coming down to the wire. We could very well end up back in this district next year. Give me diboll to win the district coldspring to take runner up

    I loved having Franklin in mix. It made the district stronger. Honestly I think Diboll will be on the bubble of moving back up but I hope not because I really enjoy the 3A scene.

    @Woodshed your thoughts?

    I see Diboll and Coldspring playing for the DC, but Crockett and Westwood can’t be overlooked. Crockett usually has enough athletes to be dangerous so Diboll will need to remain focused on defense and contain the big plays. Westwood is athletic as well and I was truly surprised that Diboll shut them out after they dropped 49 on Crockett the week prior. Should be a fun finish!!

    I think Brooks is a UT commit. He might not have looked too spectacular most of the game due to Diboll’s run defense but I seen a clip where he had a 10 or 15 yard TD and broke a Diboll defenders ankle with a very smooth cutback. Hallettsville will more than likely win region 3

    Yeah he certainly has good cuts and vision once he gets in space. I guess I saw that Texas commitment and expected more. Very talented young man for sure.

  4. Halletsville has a solid team and used some creative/trick play calling that was impressive. The RB Brooks was good but not spectacular in my opinion. He was a bigger weapon punting the ball. He pinned Diboll inside the 5 on multiple drives. Halletsville has a good shot at winning Region 3 but I did not walk away thinking they would challenge for the state title. Hope they do though.

  5. I think Diboll has the more complete team and should be favored in this matchup and they should defend their District Championship. However Coldspring did impress me in the Crockett game. Dline had a good rush and limited Crockett’s big plays. Parker-Harden is as good as advertised and the other RB (#9 I think) looked good as well. I really liked how Coldspring would sneak that TE out on quick pass routes which worked well.
    Diboll’s defense has played well since week 3 and they will need to step up again this week to get the W. The Diboll offense left about 21 points on the field when they played Crockett so they will need to clean that up this week.

    Ok because I just watched where we don't play our safeties far back enough and usually blitz most the time something that we have to work on or we will be beat by the deep ball often

    I wouldn’t expect Diboll to go to the deep ball often. They will certainly try to lean heavily on the run game and pass enough just to keep the defense honest. Coldspring blitzed a lot against Crockett and was successful at getting into the backfield. Diboll will need to pop a couple of quick routes across the middle to keep the LBs in coverage because Coldspring always has good LBs.
