Amen Woodshed! Them Buna Cougars gave us a run for our money last year
Yes they did so the Lumberjacks will not be overlooking those guys. Unless Buna changed their offensive style, they run a similar offense as Franklin which will play into Diboll’s strength.

I’m so ready to see the the Lumberjacks compete in the playoffs this year, just some thoughts on their strengths and weaknesses and what they need to get done to make it to state
Win the first game!

Hey Woodshed! How ya been my Lumberjack friend. Still rolling over there in Diboll I been seeing. I am pulling for yall to make a deep run.
By now, I am sure you know that ole girl AEIOU aka back that thang up cardinal makes dumb football posts. All the while living up to her real name PITA.
Haha 😂 yeah I’ve been here long enough to know who’s posts to take seriously.
We are looking good right now and I hope we are able to make some program history with a deep run. I’m pulling for them Dawgs as well and I hope Jasper and Diboll are both still playing in December.

Thoughts on this one? I believe the winner gets Grandview
Winner of this one will get the winner of Whitney vs Lago Vista.
Franklin has a solid run defense so I think Orangefield will need to throw quiet a bit in this game.

Y’all need to set #24(I think) free. He’s the defensive lineman that plays running back too. He’s a load to stop.
Yeah that’s the younger Gums brother. He’s a big boy! If a team lacks depth on defense it’s hard to sustain the constant pounding by the big backs from Diboll for 4 qrts.

If diboll makes it to the semifinals they will roll who ever comes out of region 4
I do like their chances in the Semifinals if they make it there. Diboll’s biggest challenge will be surviving Region 3. With likely matchups of Buna, Yoe, Grandview (if they get through Rockdale and EC), then Troy/Whitney/Crockett/Franklin/or another hot team in the top bracket, they will have been battle tested going into the Semis.
I do believe Diboll will have to win 1 or 2 games passing the ball to advance in Region 3. -

It would be a positive point tiebreaker.
But at this point Elkhart is at +14, Coldspring is at +1 and Palestine is -15.
Even with a win of 15 or more (15 is the cap on margins of victory in 11-3A-I games), there is no way that either Coldspring or Palestine Westwood could match Elkhart's +14.
That is why a margin of victory of any amount by Westwood would put Elkhart in the 4th spot.
That’s what I thought...thank you Sir!

Hey grad is there a point differential at play tonight if Coldspring were to lose to Westwood or would Elkhart get in just with a Coldspring loss?

First off...good to see more Diboll fans here on SETX Sports...welcome!
Unfortunately Trinity is a little down this year so this game should not be that competitive, but you never know. I would imagine the starters will get some good work in the first half then the offensive starters will sit the second half. Coach Mo will probably want to keep working the defense so they will more than likely play a little longer if the game gets one sided. -

half
Diboll defense held Franklin to -3 yards in the 1st half. Regardless of how the 2nd half plays out....that’s impressive!

Let that go to your head and you will be licking your wounds come Saturday. Franklin is good and if Diboll plays to their ability, they will win but if they just show up they will not be district champions and you can take that to the bank.
Yeah I’m pretty sure coach Mo and the team know that this week’s game will be a challenge and probably the most physical game of the year. It just does not seem that the Seniors are buying into the hype of state recognition and are just handling business each week.
Franklin is a good team and I do think they will put up the most points scored against the Diboll D this year but I don’t think it will be enough to win. -
