  1. Not sure on all the scores but both squads should be very proud of the way they played. Watching the 8th grade A game it looked like both teams are loaded with athletes. Next year as freshmen we will see what kind of team this may jell into for years to come.
    8th grade A C.O. Wilson 38 - Central 34
    8th grade B C.O. Wilson 26 - Central 6
    7th grade A C.O. Wilson 6 - Central 6
    7th grade B C.O. Wilson 12 - Central 24

I know over the past few years CO Wilson has beaten Central more times than not but by looking at the scores at least this year the tide may be turning for Central.

  2. I am sure we could all agree there are several kids on the varsity level with less skills... Guys it is simple...judging talent alone if a 5-9--5-10 165-170 lb kid that can run like the wind and hit like a ram and is football savy I think he could. Now the question would I put someone that young in? I would say no just because I would want him to continue to get the reps and continue to develop.

When we won our first football game against Beaumont Forest Park in 1975 after being 0 - 44, Crossroads parking lot overflowed into main street with partiers. There was even a band that showed up on a flatbed (I think it was Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs). This went on until daylight and the Vidor Police just let it go. If Vidor won state that would prove the Mayan calendar wrong because our world would end before December 21st. This had the makings of a great thread.

I could see the headlines now "Vidor Pirates when state 4A championship... no really... FOOTBALL". The celebration starts by men kissing women out of their immediate family and reaches a frenzy riot state when fans storm their front lawns and overturn junk cars causing towing services to work throughout the night. It is estimated that this created $1,000,000.00 worth of improvement to the city.

All joking aside I would be rooting any and all teams in the playoffs, and would love to see someone in SE Texas bring home the trophy.
  5. When asked what is your favorite pass play Neuman said "it's the one where one of our players pitches the ball back to the official after he has scored a touchdown".

If you need help with that one a TOUCHDOWN is when you team crosses the opposing teams goal line.
Looking at some of the Indian defensive stats I am woried that some of our players may have a sore arm after playing catch with the offials this Friday.
What else can I help you with today.

  6. On the first day of school a first grade teacher explains to her class that she is an Indian fan.
She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Indian fans.
Wanting to impress their teacher, everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.
The teacher looks at the girl with surprise, 'Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?'
Because I'm not an Indian fan,' she replied.
The teacher, still shocked, asked, 'Well, if you are not a Indian fan, then who are you a fan of?'
'I am a Bulldog fan, and proud of it,' Janie replied.
The teacher could not believe her ears. 'Janie please tell us why you are a Bulldog fan?'
"Because my mom is a Bulldog fan, and my dad is a Bulldog fan, so I'm a Bulldog fan too!"
"Well," said the teacher in a obviously annoyed tone, 'that is no reason for you to be a Bulldog fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mom was an idiot and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?'
"Then," Janie smiled, 'I'd be an Indian fan.'
