Soulja I think this is Toby's third year as a HC, I think this is his first HC job right? Larry Neumann wasn't as good 20 years ago as he is now and it would have been a shame to have made a change back then, after all we were making the playoffs regularly but were not winning DC's. I would think he'll get better with time and Central will benefit with the continuity. One thing is for sure picking a successful HC is no sure thing. So send Toby some flowers and tell him you love him..LOL

No one is putting down any young man that goes on to play college ball or even better to make it to the pros, but this is not about that, we are talking about Friday night lights...high school football, It's about a Nederland team that beat a Central team, it was a complete team effort with a super effort from Austin K. Soulja you shouldn't be so hard on your linebacker he probably has a faster 40 than Austin does anyway.

Having already played both teams I think Vidor has the edge this Friday, throw in it being Homecoming can't hurt either, but one thing for sure is there will be a lot of points scored by both teams, turnovers may be the difference maker.

It sure looks like Lumberton made a good hire with Coach Babin, as for how people ranked them early on doesn't really matter now, all I know is for a team I didn't think would factor into the playoff picture, well they sure have gotten my attention. 

Smitty Nederland doe'nt have a problem we've been a lot more than a little above mediocre under Larry's reign and we've pretty much owned PNG....do you remember where Big Ned was before Larry??? It wasn't pretty

I would'nt be surprised if it came down to the last play, just like Ned and Central, and Ned and PNG, not predicting a score right now but I believe both teams will be in the 30's.

Great game from both teams, I feel very fortunate to get the victory, I think coach faircloth is a good coach, I wouldn't be so quick to start badmouthing him, getting a good coach is pretty hard I know because Ned went through a lot before Coach Neumann came here. I think once the playoffs begin I think both our teams and Central have a chance to make some noise.  I know one thing this is the best $5.00 value (ticket) you can get anywhere

Sure you guys beat up on Lee, but so has almost everyone else (not a good measuring stick)Vidor is young, they start 11 sophmores on offense.(they could be hard to stop in the next couple of years.

I think our stadium is just fine lots of history there, I like PNG's stadium too, it is really nice and I really like our winning record there. As for PNG and Ned fans....they are on equal ground as far as I am concerned....I've seen Ned fans leave early when things went south for us, and I have seen PNG do the same thing, its just in the last 20 years in head to head contests we've seen you do a little more of it.

Injunforever the streak is great but that is secondary to having an opportunity to win district and for sure making the playoffs. I do believe you can have a district crown this year with one loss. If Sage or Barton can't play this Friday it will have absolutely nothing to do with depriving PNG from breaking our streak.  If Central takes us down they get the Glory, PNG would then get have the honor of us beginning of the new streak,

Buddy you are exactly right about Larry having to deal with extra baggage (all kinds of stuff) There have been some really good (very good Players') kicked off his teams for various reasons(the long time Nederland fans know why and the who's) Early on he established his authority and hammered home the importance of discipline, keeping your grades up, strong moral values, and has surrounded himself with very good coaches, some are ex-players of his. In my opinion Larry could take his show anywhere and be successful. Broken homes do not discriminate among families. A good coach, and I think Coach Suggs is a good one can bring communities together thru football. and that kid from the broken home...sometimes he's your best student athlete.
