PNG, Nederland, Huntsville, and Montgomery have been at some point. I’m not sure if LC has this year though - only the last few years.

I see that Montgomery ISD stadium over the summer will be flipping the home and visitors sides while adding 2,838 seats and a press box to the new home side. Total new capacity will be 10,200.

Slim chance that PNG will still be ranked higher than Nederland. I’d also put Randle higher up.

Interesting I didn’t know it would revert back to head to head for Huntsville and LC. Is that on the UIl site somewhere?

If Huntsville, Montgomery, and LC end up with the same district record, you’re probably right. All three teams would also have a 1-1 record against each other. Assuming the next tie breaker is based on point differentials between each other, then it seems Huntsville and Montgomery would get in. This district is wild though so who knows what’ll happen the final two weeks.

Im more shocked at this than Nederland beating PNG

Is there a common reason why schools don’t consistently publish JV and freshman scores? This has always been a frustrating theme when I’ve tried to keep track of various school’s sub-varsity teams for any given sport.

While still in play, I would bet on Nederland finishing third or fourth behind PNG and Huntsville.

Let’s see how they do against png and Huntsville first. LC is nowhere near how good they were last year. With that said it’s still an amazing win by Nederland. These former Katy coaches in mid-county are something special. .

Road wins are especially tough when it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive (no thanks to the UIL)! Nederland has a shot but I’d still consider them the underdogs. It should be a much closer score than the round 1 playoff game last year between Nederland and LC. go big ned.

It’s a little baffling how close LC has their safeties play to the box. If they don’t have the players for that scheme what are the coaches thinking? Either way, it’s good news for Nederland’s run game. 😀

Rooting for Nederland but LC will probably win this. Ned has a chance though with LC’s subpar run defense this year. It could be close.
