  1. It's a PERFECT fit. Glad to see we have someone who will be on the same page with the highschool.
  2. Should bring some new ideas to that program. ;D Good luck to Cornelius Cooper in his retirement after 30 years in the school district.
  3. Ham Fan gets third... my opinion only.
  4. I predict that 4 kids on BC running 4.5 or faster is a bunch of baloney... ;D
  5. WOW! Talk about open mouth, insert foot. I'm embarassed for him... LOL
  6. Come on man... you sound like those old birds who thought wearing face masks was going to ruin the game. Change is a comin, you guys are gonna have to accept it or find another sport. If it wins games and isn't against the rules, you'll see it soon on a field near you... Those coaches who came up with this 'concept' must've grown up watching Oprah. The further 'feminisation' of the American Male. That's not inovation, that's turning a contact sport into something Feminine..... Awe man, Lance, you have to shake that old lineman mentality. Football isn't going to stay the same forever, no matter how much you love the old 3 yards and a coud of dust. ;D

  8. 22-5 is one of the better all time records against WOS. Lets see how teams that are currently in 20-4A did against WOS over the years : series winning percentages WOS 10 Central 2 20% WOS 22 LCM 2 9 % WOS 8 Lumberton 0 0 % WOS 22 NED 5 23% WOS 3 OZEN 1 33% WOS 17 PNG 6 35% WOS 15 Vidor 7 47% The WOS record against Ozen is 2-2.
  9. That's kind of what it is, the guy who came up with even eludes to that. I think it's great, the game is evolving. As long as it's within the rules of the game, good for them. Smash mouth is good, but you have to have the right kind of athletes for it. This kind of thinking gives you other options.
  10. One reason I've always like the spread for WO-S is because it emphasizes what we have plenty of (skilled people) and minimizes what we lack (lineman). This offense takes the line dominance out of the game. Could be interesting for a team like the Stangs.
  11. I think this assessment could be right on target. When I looked at their schedule, I thought the same thing. 6-4, just missing the playoffs and next year they make it.
  12. Well, you can pretty much count the no shows and those that refused as positives. If you have nothing to hide, then what's the problem?
  13. Wouldn't that be WO-S with 4? I know PNG has 3 I believe, maybe 4. Nederland has like 2 or 3. TJ had a couple maybe more.
  14. That play was just before halftime, but it was amazing. PNG kicked the ball out of bounds. We made them kick it again and they actually kicked it to him. I remember thinking when the ball was in the air, "why would you do that?". Sure enough, it cost them. It WAS an edge of your seat game though. I think the final was 21-20. I believe I have that game on video.
  15. Ernie Ladd
  16. The word is envious. Jealousy is what you feel when you see your wife kissing another man. Envy is what you feel when the two of them ride off in his Lamborghini. I like what PNG is doing to their field. Hopefully other stadiums will be upgraded, but if the sole purpose is to try and hold it over someone's head, then you have failed miserably. i dont see why i would be jealous if my wife was kissing another man because i would be kissing her practically everyday. i would be more upset and wanna beat em up. I would be jealous back in the day if i liked some girl but saw someone kissing her. Huh????.....nevermind, it was supposed to be a joke showing the difference between jealousy and envy. The two words are not synonymous. Back to PNG: I have driven by the stadium on several occasions and it is looking real nice. Maybe some first round playoff games could be hosted there. I find it hard to imagine PNG being a neutral spot for anything further. Games tend to move towards Houston. Where you play doesn't have to be about being neutral. The coaches pick where they want to play and if they can't agree, they flip for it. It does have some to do with neutrality, but also the quality of the venue. I think PNG will get more than just first round games if it is nice, which, it appears it is.
  17. LOL... Every year you give these huge sizes and these fast 40 times and when the season comes around it's the same old, same old. j/k
  18. I think all this talk about the mascot being racist is freakin idiotic. As for the stadium... WOW! That is going to be one nice facility. Congratulations! PNG has packed the house for as long as I can remember. The fans, school and kids deserve this. Can't wait for WOS to play there. I bet we see a few playoff games there too!
  19. Again, it's a no brainer to us. But, the ones making that call are who I worry about. Their are those in power at the school who would like nothing more than to kill the program. THAT is scary.
  20. Very well said.
  21. This would be a wonderful thing if Toby could carry the torch for WO-S into the future. This would be best for the school, community and most of all, the kids. Toby has burned up the summer pavement taking these kids to camps and has been very successful at getting kids, who would not normally have the means, to get noticed and has several of them playing at the next level. He is a perfect fit. Hopefully, those in charge will not botch this when the time comes. It's a "no brainer"!!!!
  22. Is the QB who filled in for Cody last year gone?
  23. Man, I watched a few flag games a couple of years ago with the 5-6 yr olds. From what I saw, the kids are much better of with a helmet and pads on. That freakin level is rough. I watched one game where the team (I think it was BC) ran the Power-I the entire game and parents were getting mad because their kids were coming off the field with busted noses and bloody lips. I remember thinking to myself "what the hell you think is going to happen with the Power-I in a flag football game?". They should have been mad at their coach, not the other team. Anyway, it was very rough.
  24. Ahhh... smack talkin Jr League football... you gotta love it!
