Bravo Bullets!!! Thank you for understanding and being real. Anyone with any sense knows that we weren't trying to show anyone up. The things we did in the 2nd quarter were things we needed to work on. I will also say that, I watched the players shake hands after the game and it did not appear the HJ players had the same attitude their coach had. They represented well and were very good sports.

It's called a 2 minute drill. Since you know so much about sports then you should have heard of that before. It also happens to be something that we need work on. It was a perfect opportunity to work on it and our OC saw fit to do it at that time. I applaud him for having the balls to do it. It was about making our kids better, not hurting your feelings. We threw only 2 passes in the second half and both came on the first drive of the 3rd quarter. After that, all we did was run the ball. Football is a violent game, where people get hit and feelings get hurt. If you don't have the stomach for it then you might want to look into following Tennis or something.

As always, this game will be about individual matchups. You can't predict this game based on what HF did to Silsbee because they are a completely different team than WOS with different team attributes. Silsbee, as always, will match up better against WOS than HF did. The X factor in my opinion is the defense. I know for certain that Silsbee has not seen a defense like this, this year. That young QB is going to get a BIG dose of pressure back there. If Silsbee cannot stop the WOS offense, which gets better every week, they are in trouble, again

I think Silsbee will definitely come to town with a chip on their shoulders.

Yeah, I had a feeling that would be an issue. He and his brother have a history of being real touchy about scoring on them. In fact, I posted a thread about this very subject yesterday. That is the objective, isn't it? I am very glad to see that we worked on some things that needed work like, the passing game. And for the record, we didn't throw a pass after the first drive of the 3rd quarter. We just ran the ball and they couldn't stop it.

Congratulations HF. I said earlier in the week when they were putting up posts about the WOS/Silsbee game that they had better be very concerned about your game first. I knew HF had a very good chance of winning that game. They really impressed me in our game (WOS/HF). I said that, if they got that ball control going, Silsbee was in trouble. Apparently, they did.

Titan, I don't think OC will have any problems having enough, bro.

I was just thinking earlier how, if we were fortunate enough to get a lead in games in the near future how it would be a perfect opportunity (and a good idea I would think) to work on some areas of our game that need it. Mainly, in the passing department. While it's always good to practice it during the week. NO practice is as good as live action I would think. Knowing people get awefully touchy about "running up the score". Where do you draw the line? Or do you? To me, it's a no brainer. I would be out to get my team as well prepared for the future as possible, but I'm sure it gets a little more complicated than that for an OC or HC. I've heard many people talking about how a team was throwing deep up by ____ points. What is wrong with it? Now, maybe if it's the last play of the game, but what if it's midway through the 3rd quarter? Any thoughts on where that magic line is drawn and where it goes from getting in valuable practice to running up the score?

Obviously they aren't trying to be like WO-S, if they were they would be talking about the past, present AND future as far as Kville is concerned...

One more suggestion guys. Due to the fact that we have had many pulled muscles in the previous games. I suggest we play 7on7 rules instead of rushing the QB. We don't want any old timers (like me) going down.

You've got some selective memory going there titan. Ya'll jumped out to a 21-7 lead until the Swampdude to Gasilla hook up got going and we took the lead late in the game 28-21. That diving catch that you made was to tie the game at the end. See, always got to keep you JC boys in check. The next year, OC won 35-14 at Nederland. The following year was when things just got out of hand when we played @ WO-S again (I will not post the score again out of respect ). You couldn't make it and they really needed you. In fact, it is actually time to play back in JC unless you just can't find a field.

We are 1-1 with Giddings. We smoked them in 05 42-21 and lost last year 21-13 in a game where we could have played better. Giddings may have that mystique with you and their little neck of the woods, but it will take more than that for them to bring down the Stangs again. Again, the post was about who has the best chance to win, not who WILL win. I think WOS probably has the best chance of any school in the area simply because our defense is playing so well.

I know some OC guys who need to step up... Right td, BBdad, jesus freak, WOS92, coldblooded, Heb????? Don't give me that "I'm to old" stuff. I'm, at least, the same age as all of you!!!

Silsbee should be thinking of HF and only HF. They are much better than last year and gave Silsbee all they wanted then. I'm telling you right now, Silsbee has a serious fight on their hands. HF may take this game. If they get that Wing-T going and control the ball, Silsbee will be in trouble.

I hear ya Tam and I agree. We also don't need to abandon the WR screen. I know there were many people bitching about it a while back. And no play is effective if used to much, but I don't think we should stop using it because it gets the ball into our skill players hands. Hopefully we will get back to it because I haven't seen it the last couple of games.

The problem is that you made your analysis based on one year in particular. This does not give you an accurate picture because you have to look at who those teams lost to (unless you want to look at how far the teams they lost to went). How did each of these teams compare in the playoffs the year before? That year would make a case FOR having the tougher schedule.
