Did Anahuac have some guys out? This is very surprising.

WOS VS Newton is one of the best games of the year. I hope they figure out away to keep it.

2 score victories on the road sure are nice!

Even with what yall say is going on, wos would be a 3a nightmare across the board.
Only in football.... they are really bad in everything else right now. I think the basketball team only won 2 or 3 games the whole season last year, baseball was about the same.

Good list… but Orangefield ahead of HF? I thought HF was supposed to be pretty good this year
Orangefield Graduated a ton of guys last year. I am sure they will be formidable, but I believe this is a little bit high.

Its good to see this district produce 4 quality teams this year, hopefully we can make some noise come playoff time.

Good call! Guy who hasn’t seen a bit of game film. I guess you would know what it looks like since Kirbyville apparently manhandled you a few weeks ago…
I’m guessing your team hasn’t seen the last of it either so I guess we’re in the same boat.
You're right... the Wildcats got us. I do know we will play Meaningful football in November like usual. You guys on the other hand will get ready for another rough basketball season. When do the Bucs & Horns match up since you watch so much game film?

Really wasn’t what Orangefield did to make it rough. More about how the Horns shot them selves in the foot multiple times. Fumbled kickoff turns into a touchdown. Pick 6 thrown right to a kid within about 6 mins of each other. Hard to keep pace with anybody with those kind of mistakes.
On top of that we have got some of the worst officials I’ve ever seen this season. Last week inadvertent whistle causes a td to come back and turns into points for Hardin. This week, orangefield constantly playing after the whistle, one play particular, apparently a false start was called, no whistle blown though, then orangefield kid has such an egregious late hit that his coach pulls him and screams at him. The officials decide not to call it because the Horns had a false start so play was dead, yet no whistle until after the player is tackled…. No call PI in the end zone while receiver is getting wrapped up before his arms can even try to catch the ball.
Not that we didn’t have our issues. We probably lose either way but y’all make it sound like we got manhandled and that was not the case.
You lost 43-17.... you got manhandled. It will probably happen 3 or 4 more times this year like usual. Just get used to it.

Hang on Hawks!

Lets go Stangs!

This is exactly how I saw this playing out, Tarkington hanging tough for about a quarter then things getting rough for the horns.

The Kountze kid is cleared from what I was told over the summer.
Can anyone confirm this? We had 2 guys from BISD not get cleared last year. I find this a little unfair.

Ill let you do the math here, HF went from being one of the worst HS Teams in the state of Texas for about a decade (maybe more) now all of a sudden in the last 5 years they are competing for district titles........ come on man.
Yes we have been known to get some move-ins but we have a proud and successful tradition in Winnie, TX.

I heard that HF beat BC twice, Nederland 4 times and split with PA over the fall and summer. How will they look this year?
With the amount of Beaumont transfers they have gotten the last 4 or 5 years its hard for me to respect what they do.
They win a bunch of games early based on a significant gap in talent then they get popped quickly in the playoffs -

2 things here that I saw tonight
1.They are a tough & fast football team, they look a lot like some of the previous Kirbyville teams when they were rolling everybody
2. We either were unmotivated or unprepared for this game, I have not seen this lackluster of a performance in a long time for the Bucs.
I hope we get things right, this district seems a little more balanced than it has in years past.
