I couldn't even stomach watching WV's defense past the 2 minute mark on the highlights. Absolutely atrocious! Of course not taking away from Newton's explosive offense and elite players, but seriously, WV's defense (or lack thereof) is mind boggling!

Everyone's fate will be the same playing Newton (even throughout the playoffs). Newton is on another level and playing lights out. No player adjustments would have mattered for WV and it didn't help that their defense is garbage and has been all season. Let's not kid ourselves here (not directing this at you per se). Every team in region 3 will be destroyed by Newton. Tidehaven will be waiting and their fate will be the same albeit not destroyed. Good luck to both WV and Newton the remainder of the season!

Won't matter. Newton will blow every other team out in District and in the playoffs until they meet up with Tidehaven in the state semi final game. These games leading up to it is just a formality. No one is coming close to beating Newton in this region!

It's going to be interesting to see how well the Foster kid can slang it. Newton is already unstoppable for the most part but if you all have a solid QB, it's lights out!

Right, this is a highly anticipated game (at least on paper) and I'm hoping it lives up to the hype!

Agree and I'm afraid it's going to be by a lot. Even if WV played a penalty free game scoring at will, it won't be enough. Newton is too talented and physical (even with a few penalties or turnovers) to lose this game. WV should try to execute at a high clip, reevaluate what they can get better at after this matchup, and stay focused on the games to come.

Praying that no players are injured etc, but that's the only way WV will have a chance if the stud RB for Newton goes down with an injury. Again, I hope and pray this is a clean fought game with no injuries on either side!

Will be extremely tough for WV's O-Line to protect Babin in the pocket against Newton's front, edge rushers, and LBs in my opinion. Highly doubt that WV's D will be able to withstand Newton's running game and their occasional play action passes. It shouldn't get ugly but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if this game gets out of hand in favor of the purple eagles!

I'm crowning Hardin the district champs and it won't be close. If I'm wrong, I'll take my crow with a side of toast and eggs, but I highly doubt anyone in the district can beat them!

Newton will be Newton regardless and other teams know it and have known it for decades now. Not a Newton apologist but they line up and tell their opponents to stop us. When you have dogs like they typically have, who cares what plays they're running.. You're not going to "Out Dog" them!
