Listening to the livestream and the defense appears to be a complete embarrassment. As someone stated earlier in the week. Woodville's offensive and defensive lines are terrible based on this first half that I've tuned in to!

Would you say that they have a lack of depth on defense and skilled players (certainly compared to last season)? Due to the fact that there's several key positions that they're trying to fill and solidify, are they looking at growing pains until the experience of playing at the varsity level kicks in?

Give me Woodville going undefeated into the playoffs. Yes I said it. It's time to put a stamp on the program. Not saying that Newton won't be Newton, but who cares. Just stack the box on them. Everyone in the world knows that they can't throw more than 2 yards downfield. It's Woodville's preseason and district to lose against any and every opponent they face!

These passive aggressive comments toward Woodville are uncalled for. Let's all remember that these are kids and the coaches are doing the best with what they have. There's no need to take shots at the team nor say that they were "mediocre" and "outclassed". That's just nonsense, uncalled for and absurd. Let us pray for whoever the upcoming coach is and that the upcoming year for every team exemplifies character and hard work focusing on how to grow as young men (because that should be the #1 goal). Let's make it a point to uplift and encourage no matter if a team went 0-10 or 13-3!

I agree - Is it safe to assume that the other coaches are staying put? (Rhetorical)...As long as the kids stay focused, keep their heads down, and work, they should be fine. I've heard that they should be pretty stout again as a team this upcoming season, but who knows. It all comes down to winning every battle in between the line of scrimmage. Not sure if they can make it back to Arlington, but I'm hoping for another deep state run!
