It's not like NS has dominated Duncanville in any of their games played. They needed a miracle to beat them the first time. Duncanville's all everything quarterback got hurt right before the rematch, and the 3rd game was a close low scoring affair.

I say they finally pull one off. Just barely though. Their running back Durham has been outgaining some of their opponents all by himself. Rushed for another 200 yards last night. Kid could set records if he got the ball enough.

Tiger you have to pay attention more, the first year we played DV we were on our way to blowing the game open but the refs (Shady Grady & crew) prevented that from happening, don't believe me just go back and check the penalty count if I remember right it was 12 NS penalties to 1 for DV which is laughable. The second year DV's QB Jaquiden Jackson did get hurt however we were without the #1 RB in the country Zach Evans and Shadrach Banks who was an All-American WR. The third year we beat them with a FRESHMAN at Quarterback...so please spare me the excuses.

As far as Durham he's a helluva back, however if you've watched DV they're very one dimensional and their passing game is nonexistent. Also if you've paid attention to NS this year, NO ONE has had success running the ball against (only giving up 47 yards rushing a game). Good luck trying to beat NS being one-dimensional. With that said this could def be a trap game for NS coming off a huge emotional revenge game over Westlake, if they come into the game with a lack of focus or over confident that's the only possible way I could see NS losing this game.

  2. For those of you who are commenting...it's clear you haven't watched either team. For one if Bailey was playing for NS this game would be a blow out, for two DV is one dimensional and NS only gives up 47 yards rushing a game. For three, seeing that NS has a WR at QB this game should heavily favor DV...however DV relies solely on out athleting you and is poorly coached hence why NS has won state titles against them with lesser talented teams.

I said they are down from the normal talent they put on the field, but NOT devoid of it.  In this district, you get the results that you see West Brook produced…

I disagree…I coached against WB under levels for years they hadn’t had a good freshman class since the 2022 class that feature Bryce! If you want to know if a school has talent all you have to do is look at their under levels…

Different situations at WB and BU.  WB is down on talent, yes, but not devoid of it. WB’s coaching is BAD.

BU has very little talent.  Almost non existent. The jury is out on the Coaching.  They had to inherit the horrible structure from the previous regime.  We’ll find out about the coaching next year.

I think the stars just aligned this year for both of these teams to be horrible at the same time.  Both teams need to make drastic moves to compete next year.  No one realistically expects to compete against NS or ‘Cita, but both the BISD teams shouldn’t be getting their head beat in by the rest of the teams.

I don’t know what WB team you watched but there ain’t no talent there either…the only way WB or BU has a chance to compete in that district is if BISD has one HS and the admin changes the way it handles athletics structurally and financially…they’re in a district with a bunch of schools/districts that actually do things the right way

Facts NS coaches aren.t stuck in 5/6 classes per dayuu All the coaches and the players have the athletic football class. NS get tje freshman everyday. We can go on and on. You can make one school but if the structure isn't right, it will be just one school at the bottom of the district instead of two.

Yes NS coordinators don’t even have classes…only 1 hr of breakfast/tardy duty in the morning

All of the above except players. Starting at the top. BISD is sooo far behind in how high school football programs are run, from facilities, coaches schedules and pay including teacher salaries, middle school sports. Support meaning money and the importance of using sports to help academics. A lot has to change to make BISD just competitive if football again. WB is MILES closer then BU.

BISD will always come down to admin and community.  Admin has to have things in place for coaches to be successful. No coordinators at 6a level are teaching actual class and in BISD they have them teaching like 5 periods of science a day. Put coaches in the halls to keep the schools under control, principals too, they have to get out of the principal offices. Community needs to support the coaches in place.  Hard for a coach to build a culture when the kids leave field house and everyone around them puts down the coaches and everything they do.

This pretty much sums up the problems…y’all can blame coaching all you want but successful football programs starts from the top! You can take NS entire staff and put them at WB or BU and wouldn’t much change. Don’t have the talent or the structure to compete in 6A…it’s a far gone conclusion  that Beaumont needs one HS!

As for as the game, was there any doubt how this was going to turn out?  The Atascocita coach, although a decent coach, has never shown the ability to have what it takes to take it to the next level and be a potential participant in the big dance.

This!!!! But we’ve said this before some time ago and people gets offensive….

Y’all clearly don’t have a clue what a good quality coach looks like! Stump is one of the best coaches in the state of Texas and has the resume to back that statement

Actually the NS broadcasters might be wrong. 99 from Cita is listed at 6'3 380 (MaxPreps in which I don't trust), not 6'3 370 on the roster they were given for their broadcast. 🤷🏾‍♂️

(Rivals has him listed at 6'4 390 fwiw)

Anywho, he big as hell and was the biggest defensive lineman on the field tonight regardless of teams. Also was said to be committed to Texas A&M (he is btw)

    Samu Taumanupepe.

My apologies I read the original post wrong I thought you were referring to #99 from NS my bad…yes Samu might be 4 bills easily

    Say what?

But a win is a win. But close like I stated.

Aggie’s did you watch the game? Game wasn’t close at all Cita couldn’t move the ball on NS defense the entire game! The refs gifted them two TD’s on two critical 3rd downs…This isn’t a good Atascocita group no game changers on offense as you saw tonight! Cita lost earlier this year to a DOWN Katy team & they’ll lose again to SC

  10. Again all you have to is drive an hour up the road & look at the blueprint in Galena Park ISD the reason I know it can be done and chose this district in particular is because they’re servicing more students than BISD while having a similar economic status & student demographic as BISD.

Create one high school with several diff campuses but of course keep your early college high school.

Have a 9th grade campus, a 10th grade campus & a senior high that only house 11th & 12th graders. This can be done easily with the amount of campuses that BISD has access to especially if you don’t want to spend the money to build an entire new school.

For middle schools you only need two instead of the current five that’s in place…those two middle schools will house 7th & 8th graders only. For 6th graders they’ll all be housed at one campus & that’ll be your designated 6th grade campus.

Of course there’s some logistics that would have to be worked out however this CAN BE DONE & most importantly NEEDS to be done. Especially if BISD plans to compete at a high level in athletics. People just have to get out of this small town mindset and be open minded to change & evolving it’s needed for the community.
