Not sure what you mean by that last statement.
DEC ruled him eligible. He can play for HJ this season. All is good.
It appears I can't read. I thought that said inelegible.

Honestly wasn't going to be surprised either way. Hate it for the kid.

Home opener for the Lions
Do they have more magic in the tank?
Playoffs are still a distant thought but something is telling me there's a chance 😄

I forgot about him, where'd he go?

Interesting seeing this posted prior to the end of the season. Didn't they just get brand new baseball facilities? Turf and all that?

Has any team around here cracked the top 10 all year? Seen a couple”others receiving votes but I think that’s all I’ve seen.
Chester, Brookeland in the 1A division I believe.

Very long time coming.
I've heard the sports programs are being removed in general.

I take it Brookeland won.
Just saw the Week 8 scores after I posted this.

This gotta be the most senseless thread, and the most traffic that H-D has gotten since the HDbobcat55 days.

and this is why you don't have divisions in small school basketball or any Texas high school basketball.
I disagree.

I work closely with a large HS sports media company in the Houston area. I can tell you right now that there are a lot of people in the field thinking what the OP is thinking. The state tourney so far has been very underwhelming. Teams with 10+ losses making it to semis is just unheard of in the lower divisions of HS basketball. Obviously there are going to be underdogs, but this is too far. I'm hearing people ask, "how did this team make it to state?"
Sorry, but I don't understand what you're saying.
What changes are going to do away with teams that have 10+ losses making it to state? If they're beating teams and advancing then that's on the quality of teams they're facing in that region.

First off, love it in SA by comparison.
Second, the divisional change IMO is warranted for sure at the lower classifications. The perennial schools will always be in the mix but this protects those who turn in enrollment that is nearly 1.5x less than that school that just so happen to drop down at realignment, but then a year later are already sitting comfortably back up a division and a half lol. I can specifically think of a case a decade ago that this would've brought a 3rd title to a well known small school in our area, and possibly a 4th the following year. 👀

Even with that. Should only be 5 1st and 5 2nd ….of course that’s my opinion.
Tell me how old you are without telling me 😂

Congrats, but 37 nominees...sheesh.

Onalaska hasn't always had a high school, correct? Before they used to just go to Livingston or am I crazy?

Why?
Game should be called now.
If King is still there he won't ever submit like that...won't even run the clock. Stubborn old man 😆

Unfortunately for Livingston unless they turn in some crazy low numbers*, they just don't have the cats or lions to run with 4AD1....and they're closer to being 5AD2 than 4AD2 based on what they turned in. Honestly, whoever they pick up has no pressure. Just get them to 4th and in the playoffs and they'll name the new field after him.

Onalaska good or Lumberton down?
Little bit of both

they're building new facilities correct? could be enough to garner some more attention than usual cause the talent pool is scarce I'm afraid.

Freshman QB for Nac looked like a vet out there. Very impressed by him.
