From UIL 2022-24: 5. Schools that opened during the current alignment period and are currently participating in activities will take the number of grades they currently have and enrollment will be calculated as follows: a. Enrollment = Grades (9 + 10) x 2 b. Enrollment = Grades (9 + 10 + 11) x 1.33 More than likely: NCHS will be 6A one more alignment PHS will be 5A Division 1 WFHS will be 5A Division 2

This school is only 9th and 10th. Their feeder school is Woodridge Forest MS off of Northpark.

West Fork will probably be 5A Div II. The UIL has a formula for new schools that don’t have 4 grades. If they use the same formula as last realignment, WFHS will fall in 5A Div II.

You are correct West Fork will pull students from both New Caney and Porter. As for next alignment- New Caney will probably be 6A and Porter will be 5A. New Caney has an extremely large Freshmen class (over 700) and Sophomore class (over 600). With rezoning- they will definitely drop in the 24-26 realignment.

New Caney HS named Mike DeWitt as their new coach today. DeWitt previously was head coach at Coppell with a record of 54-35.

LCM 28-15 Halftime LCM started on 14-0 run to begin the game. Huffman settled down but LCM is shooting pretty good from 3pt line. LCM has a couple kids with two fouls.

As of Wednesday 10:30 About 2400 tickets available for home and 2500 for visitors

Also- the schools decided to only accept District 21-6A passes. The THSCA pass will not work.

As of Tuesday 10:15: Online sales are roughly even for both schools. There is about 3000 tickets left for the home side and 3000 left for the visitors.

I confirmed with our AD. The district coaches elected to use points as a tiebreaker all the way through. He told me head to head only would come into play if two teams were tied after the points tiebreaker. So BH vs Porter will be interesting.

Also- If Porter beats BH by 10- Porter is 3rd seed and Crosby is 4th seed.
