Chester's Jaxon Gay holds the Six Man State Record for the longest INT return. Chester's Jaxon Gay returned a deflected Calvert pass 89 yards for a touchdown in Chester's 58-22 win in 2022.

South Cameron canceled the game early in the season so Chester was able to pick up an away game at Cristo Rey Jesuit. The Yellowjackets were missing a number of key players so the second string kids were able to come in and get some valuable experience against a Cristo Rey Jesuit team that had some pretty large and athletic kids. Good win for the Jackets as they move into district play. 

Man I would love to be at that Lorena vs Franklin game! 

Nailed that D1 prediction.....

I stopped by a busy gas station this morning and happened to be in line behind a few coaches who were chatting.  I wasn't paying much attention until I heard something that made my ears perk up.  I heard one say to the other "Will it ever end?".  The other said, "Will what ever end? Of what do you speak?"
"Why, the success of West Orange Stark's JV squad, of course.  Will it ever end?" Replied the coach.  
"Ahh, silly me. Well of course not.  They have the greatest JV coaches in all of the land and even more than that they practice on sacred, blessed land. It will NEVER end." the fellow coach responded.  
I could do nothing but smile and shake my head.  Powerlifter was right.  Coaches across the state are asking.   

Congrats to the Chester Yellowjackets and Coach Butters on his first win as a Yellowjacket.  The ‘Jackets won this 45-0 and have been improving every week.  The numbers of players coming out is up and the foundation being laid for later success.

We would love to have you. 6 man football is a thrill to play and watch.

We have Coach Hillard from Colmesneil as Football Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Coach Butter from Colmesneil is the Athletic Director and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Odom is an assistant coach.

The Yellowjackets will play the South Cameron Tarpons of Creole, Louisiana.

Ouch. Unfortunately mine could never be referred to as a growing area…

If you got enough kids go up and play.  Man we took some butt-whoopins from everyone back in the day.  Losing wasn’t fun, but Friday nights were always the place to be.
