InWell he was vetted by some football savvy guys. If they didn’t think he’s got what it takes he wouldn’t be there. Nothing in sports is certain but so far so good in my opinion.
You hope so.
My point is that you would think at least 1 of your top two guys would have some coordinator experience at a school like Nederland.
As long as the Dawg pound is happy everybody should be happy........

On the bright side it would have been cool to be the first school in the State if not the Nation to shut a team out 4 to 0 and forfeit due to a lack of funds or incompetence.
They would not have to forfeit over a catchers mitt.

We were going to have to forfeit the game because we had no spare catching equipment. The softball dad fixed the mitt so they could finish the game

That’s not correct, Runner slid into first was going to be a close play, First baseman missed the ball due to an errant throw, runner got up to run to second and was grabbed on the shoulder and pulled down by the first baseman and was holding runner down, runner got up shoved the first baseman then second baseman came in and tried to tackle runner, second baseman started throwing fist to stomach of the runner, Assistant Coach from Hardin got hit from one as well trying to break them apart, then benches cleared, Everyone from kountze that was on the field moved there position and headed to the scuffle, the only two that did not reach the pile of the scuffle was the SS and LF from kountze. Everyone else from the field left there position. Yes Hardin suspended their whole team for leaving the dugout there position, Kountze only suspended a few off the bench plus first and second baseman and two team mangers. I don’t know what the final outcome will be the district committee and UIL are looking into everything and has the video and will meet to determine if the suspensions were adequate. Both sides Coach’s and umpires actually did a great job de-escalating the situation.
were there any ejections during the game?

Hit for the batter, imo.
I would think fielders choice since all runners did not advance one base prior to being put out.

Well Nederland with Neumann, PNG with Joesph or faircloth all of them that was their first head coaching gig and they turned out alright. Gotta take a chance sometimes
Yes but all those guys had OC/DC experience before being hired as a AD/HF
It is a big jump from a positions coach to a 5A AD/HF at a school like Nederland.
I guess he has 7 years to figure it out.............

Gotta start somewhere and work your way up.
I would not think the Nederland job was an entry level position but OK

Interim? That’s kind of strange.

You are 100% spot on and all fronts.
Promoting loyal coaches who know the kids and community is the way to go.
Especially when the program has had recent success.
Continuity is highly underrated when you are talking about leadership in coaching.
Yep that is what WOS did......lol

He's solid. Woodville probably has 2 returning backs just as good though.
You think Woodville has 2 RB just as good as Porter from Newton?
Please list their names.

1. Band maybe. Band parents, not so much.
2. I think I'm gonna cry...
One of my favorite memories playing high school football was hearing the band marching from the band hall to the field to a cadence by the drum corps during pre-game. It gave me goosebumps. I think the band plays a definite role as a part of the Friday night experience.
However, "the parents who care very much" (🤮) can watch them at halftime and at band competitions. Maybe they can stay for the whole game too.
The one good things about band parents is if you sit next to them you have plenty of leg room after halve time....

Did not notice it was in alphabetical order, but in any case they do not list everyone that goes to camp. Only the ones that they have interest in.
The kid has some projectability being 6'2 170 as a freshman so I can see why he is on a watch list.
Look like Woodville coaching staff did the right thing leaving him on JV to get some reps.
I am sure your "Nephew" will have a good high school career

He is #1 on A&M list because it is alphabetical order.
