I don't usually say much on this venue, but I have to congratulate the Lumberton Senior Blue on an awesome season. We had a very difficult schedule, (just look it up) and we have fought hard through it to be Co-Champs of Big School Division I Co-Champions with PNG White. Good luck to everyone in the playoffs and as this season has already proved, ANYTHING can happen!!!! IM HAPPY. GO BLUE!!!!!!

Ok, so here it goes. I don't post on here that much anymore for several reasons. Not because it's not fun, exciting and interesting, because it really is! It's mostly because, well, I'm so smart that lots of these rants on these threads make little sense. And the spelling, grammar, run-on sentences, etc. Deplorable at best! Still, I find that by turning my back to the literacy issues in addition to the topics that so very much need addressed by my common sense and intelligence is doing EVERYONE a disservice.

So, once again, I will give the best advice I have to offer. SHUT UP! Lol.

If every organization tried to write a rule for every situation for every "Coach/Lawyer", the rule book with be terabytes big.

Just like society, you can't legislate morality. STJFL nor the Government can be at every corner, sometimes you have to govern yourself.

If not STJF or the Government will get complaints of being a "Police" state.

So I have a corvette, limit is 55 mph. But the cop gives me a ticket for driving 55 mph because the road conditions in his opinion are unsafe.

Who would say, "Officer, I have a Vett that goes 210 mph, how can I tell it not to speed. "

I would suggest for you to take your vett off the "public roads" and take yourself to Baytown and run with the big Dogs.

This post is what's wrong with some people........

There are some senior coaches, 2 in particular) who has been coaching in this league for well over 10 years. They have brought teams to the Superbowl and won and never had an issue controlling the score.  They have had good teams and bad teams, but somehow managed to coach most every year to the playoff's.

    We need discussions not excuses.....

It is my understanding that both STJFL and Lone Star football leagues are both recreational league and as recreational leagues, they try to keep it competitive with rules and code of conducts for players and coaches.

However, if you have such a dominant team or a world class 12 year player that scores a Touchdown each and every time he touches the ball, I ask you this question.

Why would you waste your time with these little league organizations??? There are plenty of select football teams that would love to have your son or team. Bmt Bulls or Black Diamonds come to mind.

If you have a 6'5" 13 year old son/daughter basketball player what "benefit" would they be getting playing in Little Dribblers? There are Elite/Premier select basketball teams that travel all over the country to play better competition. I know The Heat or Ballhawks would love to have them.

If you have a 13 year old baseball player that throws 80 mph, what benefit are you doing to your son to put him in a local "Little League" where he will dominate the competition. There are local Premier Baseball team that travel all over the country to play higher caliber ball. I know the Banditos would love to have them.

So if your son or daughter is making straight A's in all their Basic Classes, you as a parent should bump him/her up to honors and challenge them.

So, stop wasting your child's or super teams talent and time and you should leave these local "Little League" football organizations and join these premier football teams that will make your child better.

These "Open" leagues allow your son or team to score or win by a 100 points with no problems.

So go Premier, Unless your looking to get a bumper sticker that says "My Child makes Straight A's in remedial Classes".

If these local little league are so terrible then go select. I know select baseball is slowly killing little league national program.

No they really thought they were fixing to roll right through stjfl! They want beat the big 3 Bmt PN WOS and probably not a Lum b well coached teams like you guys will beat jasper .... They have some athletes that is for sure was impressed with the Hadnot kid shifty and had a great stiff arm. The big RB wasn't impressed good defensively not all that offensively. I think the bmt King kid is a better runner. As for WOS it's hard to even find there stand out players and that is credited by there coaches. You guys are good across the board.

In my opinion the rules and league are good. There is not another league that operates like ours, it is like a jr high league. It is better than any other league I have seen.
I remember when we all played only each other in our own town. The kids like playing other schools.
I agree rules should be looked at every year and adjusted appropriately. This should be looked at when the season is over.
If anything the rules have shown is thst scores can be controlled and running up scores is not appropriate under any excuse or circumstance.
I understand every school doesn't gave the "talent "like Bmt and Ned. Hopefully one day we will meet those standards. Good luck

Great game under the lights, both defenses coming up with big stops and huge plays when needed. Very good group of boys on the Lumberton sideline as well. I'm impressed with the Lumberton kicking game, turned out to be the difference. I see y'all have been working on the extra point kick or two point kick or whatever it's called, very well executed and the young man has a good leg. Proud of the fight from the Pirates, no shame in losing a close one to a good team.

Just for the record, Brady IS a stand-up guy and just because he is loyal he sometimes takes a beating. But no one should question his true feelings for the kids of southeast Texas. Especially the ones from Kountze that give it their all every game knowing that it is going to be an uphill battle. Just saying….
