The biggest reason Silsbee lost this game was because they got killed on the boards. I am willing to bet West Brook out rebounded Silsbee by more than 25 rebounds. West Brook's size inside (not the guard play) was pretty dominant for the shorter Tigers. Bruins got many second and third chance points because of their offensive rebounding.

Also, outside of Bush, no other player can shoot. Several missed threes by other Silsbee players.

Silsbee's pressure defense did a good job last night. Just didn't have enough size to combat the bigger Bruins inside.

West Brook is a good team, deserved to win for sure. Their blow out win over H-J impressed me.

With Jones coming back next week and then add the football players later, Silsbee's rebounding problem will get better.

I believe Jones is cleared to play but I believe he will be in a limited minutes roll for Tuesday against United if any minutes...

Probably nothing  but it’s goin to be hard to find anybody to stay with in 20 points of Montverde. That is probably the best high school recruited team I have ever seen in person. There water boy looked like he was a d1 prospect.

But nobody had SFA playing with Duke the other night either. Duke was favored by 27. You don’t know the final until you play the game.

    IIMG and possibly prolific prep...

I think they could definitely play with them.  But they would be underdogs against them or IMG for sure.  Those two for sure are better and deeper.  But could Sierra Canyon upset them?  Absolutely they would be close enough to pull the upset on the right night.

Naw....there good dont get it twisted but MV is whole different animal...someone said earlier the closest to them is IMG and that would be correct in my opinion but who am I...

Seems like someone was content with Stall ball an wasn't forcing the tempo or allowed the other team to slow it down.   We are too good to allow other teams to dictate the tempo.

They ran alot of sets and I mean alot to where they got most of the shots they wanted and it dictated the pace if the game...offensively they struggled but defensively they were in every posession...

I live in Cypress. I havent seen them play this year. Their coach is from Silsbee in David Green and I know their well coached. I think they could be in San Antonio.

David Green isn't from Silsbee....grew up off of pine street in Beaumont where his parents st and ll reside. He coached in Silsbee but anyway I believe they can compete with anybody cause what the lack in size they make up for in athleticism and speed and to me a better coach. Southeast Texas should be proud in my opinion to say that they have per capital the best coaches in Texas right there.

    Cornerstone 99

    Yates 77 F

A buddy of mine who is a Houston basketball “pundit” tweeted this week that if Yates has their bigs, they take down Montverde.   Unless those bigs are Anthony Davis and Joel Embid, I need whatever he was having.

And Yates is very, very good.   But you can’t full court press, run and gun teams with elite national guards.   Cornerstone has very good guards but not a one that would see meaningful minutes for MV.

Looked at the box score and recognized a few names that did the damage...sophomores from Hardwork...very good AAU program that teaches the game and I see it carried over to Highschool ball...

Welp that's incorrect. Other than Allen, Pearland and Atascocita looks like they had games in hand, a few i actually watched. I definitely wouldn't say vulnerable ALL season.

This is the hidden content, please

Compared to what I've been accustomed to seeing out of Dickenson for the past. That's what I call vulnerable...but to me stats mean nothing come playoff time...Any giving day the best team doesn't always win....lemme say from experience I know oh so well...
