Think about it SmashMouth. Evadale is a 2A club and Kirbyville is one of the weakest 3A teams in the state this year. The Raiders should have blown them out. Now you play Silsbee, which is having problems as of now and Huffman, who has a decent team and 59 points are given up. As far as the players, I think they try, however there just isn’t much talent and if you look at the history of Lumberton football, there are not many winning seasons. Again, looking at the last 2 games, I would say their defense is weak

Sorry that An honest opinion upset you I would not call giving up 59 points the last 2 games By the soft Raiders good defense and Livingston has been bad for several years

Lumberton should beat Livingston, because they are about the same caliber as Kirbyville and Evadale. The bad news for the Raiders is that they play on the road in one of the worst stadiums in the state of Texas and they have a horrible defense and way too many turnovers on offense

Would love to see the Bulldogs win, but the defense is bad, especially the secondary and I believe Lee has decent skill guys. Should be a close game. I am still looking for All this talent, many post on here, that Nederland has to show up. They have not through 6 games

Did you notice that this was Dayton’s first game in district to score any points. Does not appear Nederland’s defensive is too good

I stated the other day that the Raiders never played good on defense. Had a couple comment have impressed they were with defense. I wonder how impressed they were with giving up 35 tonight I don’t think it is the offense that has all the problems

Wow what a weak district this year BH May have the only chance to win a playoff game this season

Nederland has a great athletic tradition, especially in football. It is built on players that work extremely hard and play extremely hard with a ton of heart and a minimum of mistakes. This is why it is so difficult for fans when a group of players are soft, lazy, and give little effort. They have forgotten that there is no I in TEAM. For the fans that watched the BH game it was quite evident when they simply gave up.

I agree that the coaches are good men and work very hard, but Lumberton does not have much talent even though this is one of the better raider teams. They work hard, but are slow. They played Silsbee fairly well and Silsbee does have talent, but as of now they are a big disappointment this year. They also have a very weak defense and other than Silsbee, the Raiders have played no one any good this year. I do hope they win against Huffman. We will see

For the person impressed with lumberton’s defense, you must be seeing things. I don’t ever remember a Lumberton team playing good defense especially the secondary. Huffman May get 300 + yards passing on the raiders. Offensively the raiders can move the ball if they stay away from penalties and turnovers. This game may be for the district championship

BH beat Dayton 27-0, they beat Nederland 40-14, so I don’t think Dayton is any worse than Nederland. The game will probably be close

I would certainly agree with you on talent and coaching if they were not 1-4 with only 1 of the losses being close. If there is talent and the coaches are preparing them weekly, why are they so bad this year?

Would love to see the Dogs win, but this year they have a combination of NO talent and POOR coaching. The players appear extremely soft with no desire to win. Has to be the worst Nederland team in many years. Look for 1-9 or possibly 2-8. Hope next year is better
