Not if they continue to play like they are

I just can’t understand why a D1 4A program can’t compete with smaller schools. Is it a lack of talent, a lack of effort, poor coaching, or a combination. They were good in 2097 and 2008, but other than that not very many thoughts on the reason

lumberton coaches need to sit down and try to figure out why they are so bad. Are they not teaching fundamentals, is the new offense too complicated, are they playing the wrong personnel, is it a lack of talent? Hopefully they can figure it out. After that they need to meet with the team and try and find out why they won’t compete. I know Silsbee has much more talent than Lumberton, but this score is ridiculous

If you look at the history, except for a very few seasons, lumberton has never competed. That is why they are known as the FRIENDLY RAIDERS. Unfortunately, they may not win a game this year unless they can beat Livingston. I certainly agree with it being sad and embarrassing for the community

I don’t see Lumberton winning this one. I think they will get better. They have a good QB, however they don’t execute very well and they are still weak on defense. The main reason is they just lost to the weakest team they are going to play this season

Nederland. Coming off a co-championship season and were picked to be good with talented athletes. Will finish 4-7, with a blowout loss to Manuel and talented athletes never showed up

BH has only shot. Crosby game may be close PNG probably 14-21 point loss. Nederland probably 28-35 point loss

PNG this year. Nederland is weak on offense, but the defense is worse. Unfortunately they finish 4-7 this year. They haven’t been that bad in a long time

I agree, the coaches at Lumberton work hard. There is just not much talent. The two main problems I see are #1. The majority of the players have low expectations - if they win fine and if they lose fine. Not much desire to win championships #2. They are always injured - some are legit injuries, but most are due from a lack of toughness

That would put 3 teams at 2-3 and would have to go to point tie breaker

I never said that I did not like Lumberton. I would like to see them win every game. I simply said that their defense is not very good. If you would observe from the stands you would understand this. Do you think newton had back ups in in the 2 games your talking about and yes silsbee is struggling as of now. i am beginning to realize that your football knowledge is weak
