  1. In district they are 9-0 and have scored 77 runs and given up 9 and of those 9 only 3 are earned.
  2. Looking over your list I thought I would see how it looks now that the regular season is coming to a close and playoffs are right around the corner: MIF04 and Admin could probably best answer this: MVP-Good race Ehlert/Angelle Newcomer- Jackson-No Brainer Pitchers- Some on that list are struggling and have a losing record. Infield: No change looks great on what has been accomplished. OF- Not sure about Armstrong, but I know one player who has jumped into the fold and that is Cassidy-LCM he would replace Johnson-PNG, Dishon and Mosley OK C- Has to change from Blake to Rowell. Utility- Dugas looks good as does McInnis from PNG. A few others to consider: Laird-Ned very good player Powell-PNG on his way back to form Sparks-WOS a strikeout machine Coleman-BC just gets the job done Schooling-Silsbee great young pitcher Lemoine-LCM solid year at 2nd. OK let's get the nominations going...........
  3. I think that question could best be answered by Coach Griff. But you must win a flip to get a 1 game, and I would think there may only be one Team in the playoffs he would do that with. But with Womack,Dugas,Adams and Cassidy and Huges, I think the Bears would be pretty tough in a 2 of 3.
  4. That one player has never hit 88 or 89 this year or last year, now can he pitch? Yes But he does not throw that hard at all.
  5. In his 3 years as a starter for the Bears Dugas has started @ LF,CF,RF along with 3rd,SS,and Catcher as well as Pitcher. The PNG game was his first in HS at 2nd base and that was due to the injury of Jake Rowell. In HS 1B is the only place he has not played.
  6. What a great game, LCM jumps out with a Big RBI by Jake Rowell in the first, and was then follwed by a 2 out 2run single from Jerrod Dugas in the third. Landon Womack up 4-1, Dugas comes in. Big 3 run double by Mosley to tie it up.....in comes Smith and the Bears score 2 quick off of big hits from Womack and Rowell. Dugas comes back out for the 6 and 7th and shuts down the Dogs getting the final 2 with K's to get the win 6-4. Nederland is tough and never gives up, just a Great Game all around..... Bears now 21-4 and 9-0 following a first ever Mid-County sweep. Dogs go to 14-9 and 7-2 and will make some noise in the playoffs for sure.
  7. The BIG Matchup tonight is in Nederland as the Bears of LCM come calling: If Nederland can pull it out they still have PNG on the schedule @PNG, if the Bears continue to roll the schedule is not as strong........but we all know the old saying " On any given night" I give the edge to the Bears, while it will be tough to win in Nederalnd the Bears have a better defense and seems to be really swinging it well. I know Admin. is ready for this battle, I will see you tonight>>>>>>>>> Good Luck to both teams...........
  8. In 3a it is Joey Johnson-HF hands down, followed by Dishon-BC 4A Has a few: Ehlert-LCM Dugas-LCM Mosley-NED Flores-PNG
  9. Admin, It should be a very good game, I guess I am surprised Ned. threw Smith against Ozen. I know they have other good pitchers so who knows. I am sure Ned will see Womack and Dugas and possible even Adams. Should be fun.......
  10. Wil, Come see then Bears, 3 hole hitter laid down a sac. bunt last night and every kid in the lineup for LCM has a sac. bunt
  11. Bears came out swinging in a 8-0 win over PNG WP Ehlert LP Harwood HR- Womack,Cassidy 2B-Lemoine 2Hits Dugas Singles from Schneider,Rowell,Adams PNG threw Harwood 3 McInnis 2 and Mire 2 And with the win and Vidor loss that gives PNG and Vidor 4 losses and clinches a playoff spot for the Bears.......................................
  12. 4A- #6 LCM 3A- #1 BC #7 BH #8 Lufkin Hudson #10 Huffman 2A- #9 Woodville 1A- #3 Colmesneil
  13. Admin, That was good and I was fixing to come at you until I read it all. Good luck @Ozen
  14. Nick Ayers from WOS is also signing today with Hill. Congrats to all three.
  15. Hard to argue with WB's Falgout.......... My Pick for sure, Powell close behind.
  16. Tuesday: PNG @ LCM NED @ OZEN LUMB @ Vidor Thursday: LCM @ NED. Vidor @ PNG What are your thoughts and predictions??????
  17. Best overall is Blake Buchanan PNG hands down. Defense,Arm and Bat #2 Jake Rowell-LCM
  18. CALL, That's not a type O' #1 Lumberton- 10-0 #2 PNG- 7-1 #3 Ned 3-2 #4 Ozen 10-0 #5 Central- 16-0 #6 Vidor 9-1 2 no hit games #1 Lumberton(Ehlert,Womack) #2 Central (Adams,Cassidy,Hughes)
  19. Good Ball game all around, Vidor is much improved and continues to improve each year. They came out swinging in the first and scored 1 but left the bases full. The 3rd baseman kept the game from being opened up in the 2nd on a diving backhand, that was one of 2 outstanding plays by him. LCM just kept putting on pressure, probably hit the ball harder tonight than all season, but most of them were right at guys or to the deepest part of the park. Vidor still has a shot, they need to take care of business with the lower teams and again pull off 1 more big win and they could be there. LCM is now 18-4 and 6-0 scoring 55 runs and allowing 4 in the first round of district.
  20. And could it be: Vidor is really a playoff contender despite being 10 run ruled by Lumberton or allowing 8 runs to Central????? Or does LCM continue to improve and get better????? 2 hours and counting!!!!!!
  21. Slam I hate to bust your bubble but Ehlert did not throw against you last year in the final district game it was Cassidy.
  22. I am amazed at all of the comments back and forth, some even make sense. That being said HF is not intimidated by anyone, I have watched them play and I know those two coaches, they will be ready. Against Sparks who has been lights out they put the ball in play, stole bases, and made things happen........it's called small ball, ask the White Soxs and the Longhorns about it. So I think they will do the same against BC. Now BC, we know how good Kevin is and he will not disappoint tonight, I say watch the Cardinal defense because they will need to step up and play well. Dishon and Jackson continue to rip the BB, how will HF pitch those guys??? I have not heard much about Jackson's arm strenght because HF will try to steal, maybe one of the BC posters can tell me about Casy's arm?. I hope it lives up to the billing......close game could go either way.........
  23. Major implications off of 2 battles tonight, 1 in 4A and 1 in 3A: BIG QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED: 3A- Is BC still the big dog of the district or has HF decided to stake their claim????? HF dispatched WOS to keep a clean District record. BC has not yet been challenged since the Ned. tourney. ( Except a close Jasper game) Can Angelle continue his dominance???? 4A- PNG @ NED.......wow! will the Indians drop thier 3rd district game before the end of the first half???? Can Ned. handle the pitching of PNG?? If PNG wins it gives the LCM Bears a 2 game lead in the first half with Vidor on Tuesday. If PNG loses can Vidor take advantage????? I think I will go to Nederland and have a headset on listening to BC/HF
